I don't know who it was at the end, but the English player had a cross set up to send in and one Swiss player just standing there, and he drilled it directly into him. Couldn't have summed it up better.

Englands subs did not make them play better. No pace to the play and poor spacing.

I don’t know how John Stones can stomach having little Jordan Pickford reading him a riot act after Pickfords latest piece of nervy goalkeeping. There’s no way I would turn around and deck him

Why do you put TAA in that position? That’s more mismanagement. Don’t put him in that spot for the first time in his career.

In all the years I’ve supported England I’ve never seen such an impressive set of penalties (obviously low bar there). Five calm coolly taken pens. Helps that four of the five are their team’s regular pen takers

Can they beat the Dutch and Spain/France back to back? Seems highly unlikely
I don't think any of those teams have been that impressive this tournament though. It's very much a possibility that England continues to play blah soccer and still win the Euros.

Yeah. Was kinda hoping for the Swiss to put us out our misery.

Of course, when England eventually win something the party will be incredible (the only comparison I can think of is the 04 Sox for me, except that I won't be the only person getting naked). But Jesus, this team? Really?

If France plays something closer to a real balanced front 3 that may change something like
Mbappe Giroud Dembele
Kolo Muani
Tchumanei Camavinga

But I just don't see it happening. That's not really DDs style.

I don’t think England can handle Spain. France can beat anyone and may take any big match to pens but Spain probably score a few against England and England still look to have no clue how to attack. Interested in seeing how the Dutch look

Sure, they can beat both those teams. I'd fancy Spain to beat them in a final, but as we know England have a wealth of great players and they do have a come behind goal in them when they actually go for it. They're decent when they up the tempo, play more progressive footie - obviously, it's how they're used to playing week in week out.

I reckon it's only a matter of time before they lift a trophy.

England have no clue how to attack as a team, but have so much attacking skill individually that they at least seem to pull out a goal each game from that. France on the other hand look even worse in attack though miles better than everyone else in defence.

If they’re going to depend on individual play, Palmer really should start. Foden has looked lost in all the games, maybe like Grealish he’s had all the creativity drilled out of him by Pep at club level
