Thought it was a decent move for Cora to give Houck A chance to finish strong and maybe build some confidence with working into the later innings.Key inning, as it turns out, might have been Houck going back out in the 6th and giving the pen a blow
The things that needed to happen for this team to be competitive (Yoshida, Verdugo playing well, etc.) are happening. If Sale and Bello can go on a run…This was a great win.
I don't know if it's a great team, but it's a good team with the potential to be great. And it's a damn fun team to watch.
I don‘t watch hockey and I don’t watch basketball so it‘s a sacrifice I am willing to live with.Wong water.
Who would have thought that the Sox were going to be the team winning around here this week?
Certainly the most enjoyable to watch at the moment. Helps having low expectationsBoston Red Sox…best team in Boston
I'm still very bullish on Story being the shortstop for half the season. The things that needed to happen for this team to be competitive (Yoshida, Verdugo playing well, etc.) are happening. If Sale and Bello can go on a run…
Bullish is the good one, right?I'm still very bullish on Story being the shortstop for half the season.
Agreed. Set up Schreiber for 7th. Obviously he did great. Which lined it up nicely.Key inning, as it turns out, might have been Houck going back out in the 6th and giving the pen a blow
It's been a lot of fun even for those of us who don'tCertainly the most enjoyable to watch at the moment. Helps having low expectations
You’re thinking of bunnyish.Bullish is the good one, right?
All aboard the ceaselessly optimistic bandwagon! It's been a lot of fun even for those of us who don't
LOL, yeah.Bullish is the good one, right?
I'll never get off it. I have enough in life to be pessimistic about. The Red Sox are my joy.All aboard the ceaselessly optimistic bandwagon!
YesI missed the chatter, is Kenley still unavailable because of his back.
You complete me.I'll never get off it. I have enough in life to be pessimistic about. The Red Sox are my joy.
I hear you. I still had faith in the Bobby Valentine year at the trade deadline. I was hilariously wrong but the feeling was there.I'll never get off it. I have enough in life to be pessimistic about. The Red Sox are my joy.
You missed a pretty great one yesterday too, while you were in your dark roomYou complete me.
Man, I needed this win more than I realized tonight.
Yeah. It's finals week, so I have plenty to distract myself with, thankfully. You missed a pretty great one yesterday too, while you were in your dark room
How much of this is guys like Turner and Refsnyder hitting around him instead of Bogaerts and J.D?Funny thing is Raffy has actually been kinda bad, down to 227/282/538. Homers and nothing else.
+1I'll never get off it. I have enough in life to be pessimistic about. The Red Sox are my joy.
You are so much better than me. At no point in the BV era did I keep the faith.I hear you. I still had faith in the Bobby Valentine year at the trade deadline. I was hilariously wrong but the feeling was there.
Not much you can do with a .200 BABIP. K rate is fine, hard hit%, launch angle and barrels/PA all in line with the best years of his career. He has just traded line drives for fly balls and I suspect the fact that he's just getting pitched way high up in the zone (and has consistently chased those pitches) has a lot to do with it.How much of this is guys like Turner and Refsnyder hitting around him instead of Bogaerts and J.D?
Then Sosh can have endless conversations about who gets sent down to AAA. I nominate Casas. I don't think Tapia can be sent down, so he'll be DFA'd?Just wait until Story, Duvall, Yu and Paxton get back. Nice to know there are reinforcements down the line.
Now that BC (women’s) lacrosse has moved their games from the Newton campus to Alumni, it’s technically them.Boston Red Sox…best team in Boston
