Yep. Caleb fucking Martin.Caleb Martin…all props to him. What a story, unbelievable series
FUCK!
For a lot of them, it has nothing to do with one bad game, or frankly, his on court play at all.Stunned people want to give up on Jaylen after one bad game.
Is there a single thread on this board you actually contribute to in a positive way? I have no one on ignore, welcome to the list.Oof.
Tatum has one of his worst games in the playoffs, and pointing it out makes people cranky in a gamethread.
It's ok guys. He'll lead us to a top 4 spot in the east again next year. No promises on following through as a top 5 player, though...
Fuck you.Oof.

I was literally just about to post to you that you were right. I couldn’t even fathom this happening and it didI mean, I am too?
I'm not ready to kick him to the curb but the man can't dribble the basketball, which as I understand it is a fundamental part of the game.Stunned people want to give up on Jaylen after one bad game.
Weird. There's dozens of posts over the last week+ about how the Celtics have an amazing opportunity to cash in on a broken playoff bracket. What is your position on Joel Embiid after these playoffs? How about Durant? Giannis? Are they not top 5 guys either because they came up short?
Miami had the same minutes on those legs.This. If people want to be ticked off , be ticked off at the team that played games 1-3. They left themselves no margin for error or injury. And both happened tonight.
Not sure about that.Brown is not getting traded. It’s ludicrous to suggest. They would never get equal value.
See this is where we part ways as fans. I want the sports without this drama. Perhaps you are correct and there are chemistry issues. But I sincerely hope there aren't any. This team just got beaten by a better team (in the now).Cannot wait for all the petty post season bullshit to leak out of this locker room.
Nor is a max contract equal value. So you run it back one more time and lose him for nothing next year or you see if you can get some complementary assets and lottery tickets for Tatum to work with.Brown is not getting traded. It’s ludicrous to suggest. They would never get equal value.
I’d rather do Jaylen plus 35 for LillardJaylen to Portland for Anfernee Simons and the #3 pick.
It's sad to say, but we've entered the "three steps back for one step forward" stage of this situation. To make progress, we have to admit the sad reality of where we are at. Mostly, this team isn't good enough in close games against good teamsSmart is likely trade bait but you can’t trade brown without a plan. There just isn’t a replacement available at his level.
I figured you had the Celts on the moneyline and took it out here.I said Tatum sucked this game and people pooped their pants.
It's all Reggie Miller's fault for being a meanie during the broadcast.
I'm fucking with you. This outcome is within that range for me. I didn't think it was possible. But I also think having Tatum at 60% changed the entire dynamic. Having to rely on Jaylen Brown dribbling into a zone defense was a terrible backup plan.I mean, I am too?
They would lose any trade that would actually work money wise. Not sure about that.
I shit on a guy that is ALWAYS fishing for calls, fishing for the camera to pick up on his boo boos, and seems to always have an excuse. That isn’t exactly what you said. If you said Tatum sucked tonight then no one even says anything to you. You shit all over Tatum and got the attention you were seeking.
I like that too, but I'm not sure Dame's ever going to force his way out.I’d rather do Jaylen plus 35 for Lillard
They don’t actually need equal value. Tatum is the key cog, the on/off numbers basically suggest you could put any combo of decent players around him and the result would be good. If you can bring back some shooting/passing/defense minus some of JB’s upside I don’t think you lose much from the team as a whole.Brown is not getting traded. It’s ludicrous to suggest. They would never get equal value.
He didn't get it? That's a travesty. Superstar bias plain and simple.Caleb Martin deserved the MVP
At least every trophy is named after a CelticHanding out the Cousy and Bird trophies to the Heat in the Garden is RUFF.
ONE? Also, he had 8 turnovers (more than Miami on his own) when the team needed him to step up. He’s gotta goStunned people want to give up on Jaylen after one bad game.
That’s not what happened. I appreciate the commitment to a bit as much as the next guy, though.I said Tatum sucked this game and people pooped their pants.
Anything that can be voted on is bullshitCaleb Martin deserved the MVP
(Tatum Grimace).Somehow as bad as they played you are more embarrassing.
This is what I have tried to say but much less clearly. I don’t think in todays NBA you can do anything but give Brown the super max and see what happens. For a lot of them, it has nothing to do with one bad game, or frankly, his on court play at all.
They just don't want to say it, which would be much easier than having to read between the lines. Worst part is I, a huge Jaylen fan, have no issue with folks who hate him for cozying up to Kyrie and his anti-semitic bs, so it would be easier if they would just come out with it, instead of tossing horrible takes.
The idea that you don't give Jaylen the supermax is so stupid that anyone who says it should not be taken seriously for their basketball knowledge. You give it, you keep him for a year, and if it doesn't work out, that contract is awesomely valuable in trade after next season. Much more so than trying to get pennies on the dollar for his lesser, expiring deal to a team that doesn't know if he will walk at the end of the season.
What did you want him to do, turn the ball over a few more times?Jaylen Brown has been my favorite player for many years. I may be done with him after this. Just an unbelievable, terrible, stupid performance. I can forgive a lot. I can’t really forgive taking shots 5 feet behind the 3P line when you are shooting like absolute crap. It’s time to trade a quarter for two dimes
100% agree about Tatum. Having your best player -- the one guy who you could hope for a 50 piece from -- get hurt in the first 30 seconds is kind of a rusty railroad spike up the ass. (And I know you were fucking with me, don't wory.)I'm fucking with you. This outcome is within that range for me. I didn't think it was possible. But I also think having Tatum at 60% changed the entire dynamic. Having to rely on Jaylen Brown dribbling into a zone defense was a terrible backup plan.
What's the alternative? Playoff purgatory for a decade? What's the difference? So you want another 10-12 years at the bottom of the league hoping for ping pong ball luck?
Dude…no. Just no.For a lot of them, it has nothing to do with one bad game, or frankly, his on court play at all.
They just don't want to say it, which would be much easier than having to read between the lines.
Remember when Hayward faked his bone going thru his skin? I’m still mad about that guy quitting on us in game 1.I shit on a guy that is ALWAYS fishing for calls, fishing for the camera to pick up on his boo boos, and seems to always have an excuse.
I'm fucking over it. I love the dude, I'm drunk and angry, but I'm sick of justifying the fucking no-shows.
Do all the damage control you want to try to do now, but you called the man a faker when we all saw him roll his ankle on the first play of the game for him. Why would Tatum decide on the first play of Game 7 in Boston that he would fake an injury?!?Oof.
Tatum has one of his worst games in the playoffs, and pointing it out makes people cranky in a gamethread.
It's ok guys. He'll lead us to a top 4 spot in the east again next year. No promises on following through as a top 5 player, though...
This is so deranged.Oof.
