How could Mookie's not be 1.000?
It was hit so high that in the 16 ballparks that it stayed in, the outfielder would have been camped under it.

I’m also pretty sure that the expected BA stats are separate from the expected homer stats. So it doesn’t factor in where in the ballpark the ball is hit. It’s looking at all balls hit with that trajectory and exit velocity.

Llovera warming up with no baseball cap on in the bullpen. Can’t say I have ever seen that before.

This is what a non-playoff team does. No shutdown innings. Not dominating favorable left on left matchups. Relying on someone like Murphy in a huge game.

And as I write, we get a shot of Llovera loosening. It's frustrating rooting for this team. It's really devoid of talent in a number of crucial spots.

How anyone could hate Henry is beyond me. The guy has helmed us winning 4 awesome World Series during an era in which the Yankees have won 1.
The dodgers have also won only one. And it was a super Mickey Mouse, fake championship.

They have something in Murphy but he still catches too much of the zone on certain pitches. Frankly they were lucky to just surrender one there the way the Dodgers were hitting his fat ones.

I like Murphy. I have no idea if he pitched while in Worcester. This game is still winnable. Lets use Wink

Nice catch kid. Looked like he was going to Dick Van Dyke that one

I for one wish we had pitched Chris Martin in every game this season so posters could instead complain he was Proctor’d by May 15.

The game should've been won in innings 2-6. A no-show against a dude with a 10+ ERA is pathetic.

This is the team we are following - they are trying to build a core around some wily veterans and your typical roster filling cast of retreads. It can most certainly be frustrating but unless you can get a bunch of pieces via waivers this team isn't changing. As such, we can either watch or find some other way to pass the time.

Urias has seen four pitches today, and the only one he didn't swing at hit him

Stone coming in and shutting us down, except for a Fenway fly, is the story of the game.

Yeah, Sox pitching giving up 7 extra base hits hurts, but we weren’t going to keep them off the board. A brand new rookie blowing through us with a low pitch count on a Dodger bullpen day is the story. Just tip your cap to a kid who just had a pretty big day.

It's annoying that Muncy hasn't screwed up yet.
I’m frankly impressed when he makes any play at 3rd successfully. He is a terrible third baseman.
We're those the only two options?
Well, there was Bernardino – who has been great for us but, as you might know, got COVID which is the only reason why Murphy was in the game in the first place.

I am so tired of Cora's predictable loss Sunday lineups
Explain this one. Devers was in the lineup, but got pulled shortly before game time because of his wrist. How would you have changed today's lineup?

Yeah, my point has more to do with the fact that the starters haven't gone nearly deep enough in games and leaves winnable games vulnerable with JAGs like Murphy. That's what I was saying. No bullpen is deep enough when you have starters going as short as what the Sox have gotten the last week outside of Bello

2030 is the new 2024. Give the farm some time!
I don't oversee the team. You guys do and are threatening some consequences if Bloom isn't hanged by sunrise.

This team is clearly improved from last year with good young cost controlled pieces, is that not accurate? Does spending oodles of money on seasoned FAs for their past production promise a better outcome? The Steve Cohen owned Mets - and he is a very shrewd person - would tell you otherwise.

I'd also point out hte expected BA this game was slightly Boston's before the two smacks just now - Red Sox got pretty unlucky today, as happens a few games a year.

There are a ton of stupid losses earlier in the year that doomed them, not a 1-2 series against the NL's 2nd-best.
