You just know Bill is thinking, please just give me this one more win.
And then I am guaranteed not to be on Hard Knocks until at least 2025!

Tennessee wins the South if they beat JAX, and if they lose to JAX they can’t get the 7 seed.I think Pats have tiebreaker over TN? Pitt can get there, though.
On one of the shows, they said teams with losing records have gotten into the playoffs 6 times, and their record in the dirsr round was 4 - 2.Would be awesome if Brady and BB both got into the playoffs with losing records and met in the SB. Never happen, of course, but crazy that it's at least possible.
2nd place in the AFCE is wide openLet me just point out that if the Jets lose today, they and Miami will have matching 5 game losing streaks heading into week 18. Irresistible force vs immovable object.
$2001 to the Jimmy Fund if it’s a Brady BB SBWould be awesome if Brady and BB both got into the playoffs with losing records and met in the SB. Never happen, of course, but crazy that it's at least possible.
Okay, and I'll buy you anything you want $10K or under if I win Powerball.$2001 to the Jimmy Fund if it’s a Brady BB SB
All of those? Or one of those? I assume all of those. The New England Patriots make the playoffs with a loss next week IF:
1. NYJ loses to SEA and beats MIA
2. LV loses or ties at least once
3. PIT loses or ties at least once
4. TEN loses or ties against JAC

The flip of that is the what if game. LV, CIN, MIN, GB…Man, even though they are going to hard pressed to beat Buffalo next week, it is still fun to be alive for the post season.
I'm guessing that most, if not all, of those teams were division winners and hence had home field advantage, which is a big advantage. On one of the shows, they said teams with losing records have gotten into the playoffs 6 times, and their record in the dirsr round was 4 - 2.
Mac Jones has never started a “meaningless” NFL game.Man, even though they are going to hard pressed to beat Buffalo next week, it is still fun to be alive for the post season.
You watching the 49ers / Raiders game?Gun to my head…
Jets will beat Miami next week.
Raiders have no chance against Chiefs.
Jax will beat Titans.
Patriots have a decent shot.
1. 50% thereThe New England Patriots make the playoffs with a loss next week IF:
1. NYJ loses to SEA and beats MIA
2. LV loses or ties at least once
3. PIT loses or ties at least once
4. TEN loses or ties against JAC
Just like 2008. Hope it ends better for us.The Pats season hinging on the fuckin Jets winning a game is some real deal cosmic cruelty.
And they needed the Jets to LOSE in 2002 v. a 12 win GB team that completely shit itself.Just like 2008. Hope it ends better for us.
Favre both times. Fuck that guy.And they needed the Jets to LOSE in 2002 v. a 12 win GB team that completely shit itself.
But why does a win affect the Patriots? Jags beat us in a tiebreaker?Tennessee wins the South if they beat JAX, and if they lose to JAX they can’t get the 7 seed.
Yes, conference record (7-5 for JAX and 6-6 for NE).But why does a win affect the Patriots? Jags beat us in a tiebreaker?
Does it really feel less dirty saying Go Steelers? So, if I'm reading this right... go Ravens?
I feel so dirty.
It won’t matter if by some miracle the Pats win in Buffalo. The Pats season hinging on the fuckin Jets winning a game is some real deal cosmic cruelty.
The Jets basically got the Patriots a bye and a chance to host the Raiders by beating the Raiders in Oakland in the last week in 2001, if I remember correctly. The Pats season hinging on the fuckin Jets winning a game is some real deal cosmic cruelty.
Pats are one of seven teams in the AFC with a positive point differential. Whether or not they get the help they need, they were a whisker from 10-7 or better, and deserve the 7th seed as much as anyone else.

Hell, if the side judge correctly calls Keelan Cole out-of-bounds two weeks ago they'd be in the driver's seat.Pats are one of seven teams in the AFC with a positive point differential. Whether or not they get the help they need, they were a whisker from 10-7 or better, and deserve the 7th seed as much as anyone else.
Depends which QBs are healthy, if Tua and Teddy are both out I would be heavy on the Jets, Skylar Thompson is terrible.I watched most all of the Pats game and the Jets game. I don’t have a lot of confidence in Mike White going on the road and beating Miami…and yes I watched Miami today and realized they are challenged in a lot of areas right now.
teddy is going to be out if the JETS can get to 17 they can beat miamiDepends which QBs are healthy, if Tua and Teddy are both out I would be heavy on the Jets, Skylar Thompson is terrible.
Mike White’s accuracy was way off today so he is either still injured or I don’t even know. His accuracy has never looked as bad as today and it want like he was under a ton of pressure.teddy is going to be out if the JETS can get to 17 they can beat miami
that may be all true but the jets have a top 5 def and if mia can not get the ball or hill or waddle they dont winMike White’s accuracy was way off today so he is either still injured or I don’t even know. His accuracy has never looked as bad as today and it want like he was under a ton of pressure.
Why is it “puzzling”? They have to put some games on Saturday, and they’re not going to pick utterly meaningless games, so the results on Sat or always going to have some effect on Sunday’s games.
