Between here and everywhere.
Dominic Tiano on Twitter @dominictiano is reporting that Soderberg's camp has reached out to the Bruins management about an extension.

The story on Soderberg has always been that he is loyal almost to a fault, it's why he stayed in the SEL for so long. If that holds true, the Bruins could hope that he would take a slightly below market deal to stay with the only NHL team he knows.

The question is - what is he worth?

His value is slightly depressed in Boston with both Krejci and Bergeron ahead of him taking up significant dollars, but Chiarelli/Claude place significant value in depth down the middle.

I'd love the Yeti in a B's uniform for a while. He's on a 70 point pace right now with good defensive abilities. He is what we hoped Loui might be. I think that's incredibly valuable.

I would love to see him become part of the core of this team alongside Bergeron, Krejci, and Rask.  Just like a baseball team, strength up the middle.  He is so strong on his skates, and also seems to have some of Krejci's ability to slow the game down and put opposing players out of position.  I would place locking him up at an incredibly high priority.

I agree it would be great to bring him back, although I don't really have much of a sense of what his value would be as a UFA.

I also wonder if, at some point, it might make sense to try a first line of Krejci, Soderberg, and Eriksson.  It's true that Soderberg played better at C than LW, but that was in a third line role.  I'm thinking he wouldn't be too upset at getting ice time with Krejci even if it moves him off C.

He should be part of the core and locking him up is a top priority. Chia will need to figure out how to make the numbers work with the cap.

Call me crazy, but I think he's worth something like 6/35 on the open market, especially with the increasing cap. My guess is he'll probably take much less than that to stay here, so get that shit done. He may be the second best position player on the team.

Somewhere between Krejci's last undermarket deal (5ish M) and the deal Stastny (similar producer, but Stastny is better defensively) got this summer (7M) on the open market seems right, so yeah, 6 Mish seems right.

He needs to be signed. Love me some Yeti. 5 years $32 million gets it done. Make it happen Chia.

I would make extending Dougie long-term the #1 priority at this point. I know he's an RFA but he's shown enough to give him a long deal and hopefully the RFA leverage makes him take something low-ish. Soderberg is a good player but he's already 29. If there is room to keep both that would be great, but I'm not sure.

They'll also have Smith and Krug to deal with, plus a couple other spots. A lot depends on finding some good performers on cheap contracts, as usual.
