My goodness. Into triple coverage and good triple coverage at that. There was no window there at all.
That was an all time dumb play. Horrible cross body hero pass followed by a bizarre, hero ball return for no reason.
Worst game I’ve seen the niners play all season (honestly worse than the ravens game in a lot of ways), and they survive: holy shit.
Why do dudes who make game ending interceptions suddenly forget the GTF down rule and start running around like Forrest Gump?
Everytime we play these guys in the playoffs it feels like the game ends this way! Anyway this is what happens to young teams in close playoff games. Good season. Much more than I expected.
Great game. Would’ve loved OT. Niners did not play their A game for much of tonight. I view them as the most likely remaining team beat the rat birds, so hope they do tighten things up, and get Debo back.
Lions defense would get gashed. Doesn’t Goff have terrible history against the 49ers?
SF defense is just as likely to get gashed and Purdy might go AWOL again.

I guess (because he didn't get his shot at redemption?), but that was a solid team loss. Defense, offense and special teams...if any of the three had done their job in the closing minutes of that game, they would have at least gotten to overtime, if not won outright.

SF did nothing to change the perception that you can bully them in the run game. I'd expect a ton of Montgomery and Gibbs if they get past the Bucs
Definitely real chance. Also the Deebo injury is huge. Whether he can play or not would be a big deal in that game.
My takeaway is the Pats aren’t that far away when even the great teams have shaky QBs/coaches/kickers. Draft Daniels and just get in the tournament.
Seems like even one of Brady and BB's more mediocre teams would have had a legit shot this year.
The toughest thing for a young guy in that situation is to understand how much time he has. A pass out of bounds there is a good play. They had 50 seconds and two timeouts left. That's an eternity. Just an inexcusably dumb play.
Makes me appreciate Brady's patience on the final drive of SB XXXVI all the more.
