Well, now I guess I'm free to do some night skiing and skip the game. Wouldn't be shocked if it was a stinker for the Cs with those big dogs out, but if it's a loss I don't want to watch it, that's for sure.
I get flex scheduling is tough (what's TNT going to do, take all the equipment, people, etc. they've already shipped to Boston for this game and move it to another city in a few hours), but letting game's like this, the MIL game from a few weeks ago, the Celtics-Bucks Valentines Day game from last year, etc. be premier games of the week really is not great.
Checked to see if ticket prices plunged with LeBron and AD out, and they have… but they’re still $140 plus fees per seat minimum. It is to laugh.

This is why NFL isn't going anywhere anytime. This only happens there last game of the season and only if game doesn't mean anything.
NHL is also pretty good at this (compared to NBA and MLB-scheduled days off that fans don;t know about in advance and obviously men's soccer)

Yup, was scouting out prices once we hit 2024... and I totally understand the Laker tax/LeBron tax... and sure, half-price is great and all... but still, $320 (with fees) to go see the R Crew (Russell, Reaves, Reddish and Rui)? No thank you.

Was gonna use Celtics/Lakers as an excuse to get out of social engagement, but staying home to watch this sans AD and Lebron seems kinda pathetic.

Home court and 7-8 advantage is all significant here for the play in. Even if they make it out, is this a team that needs to be playing high stress games heading into a 7-game series?
It does seem like they'll have a tough time escaping the 9-10 hole, but we said this last year too. And it's notable that Utah, currently tied with the Lakers for the 9/10 slot, has played 28 road games already and is 15-6 at home.
I’ve had peroneal tendinitis and it sucks. Like unable to put weight on your foot sucks. Does that mean I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt? Fuck no. Extremely weak sauce from those two tonight.
