Los Angeles by way of Roxbury
Rui Hachimura - 3/6 from 3
Austin Reaves - 7/10 from 3 (come the fuck on)
D'Angelo Russell - 4/8 from 3

And our team shooting like Stevie Wonder. What a frustrating ass game. Maybe the Lakers will be fooled into thinking they're good and won't make any trades.

That sequence is a microcosm of this mess.

Tatum tries to rip through for a foul/layup, ball flies out of his hands, Reaves gets it, Tatum fouls him.

Garbage.

Glad I didn’t pick up tickets for this one…

i think the officials have been pretty good. i think its entirely a function of how they are playing
In the real world, officials have been pretty unbalanced—-as this review shows.

but that is not to excuse Celtics playing a lot more poorly than lakers

5 free throws. I'm guessing they didn't bother posting up and driving?

Gotta feel for the fans who paid premium to see the Lakers' stars sit and the home team to go through the motions.
There were a good number of drievs, no calls

It is a largely meaningless game in February but losing to the Lakers stings.

Every drive was like 1 on 3 with minimal ball movement they barely gave the refs a chance to even consider a whistle.

I missed the review but one call proves an imbalance over 48 minutes?
no one said or suggested that—get a grip. The whole game shows the imbalance. That call just illustrates it.

Again…Celtics didn’t play well enough. But the foul disparity is a classic issue vs lakers too

The NBA regular season kind of sucks at this point of the year. All the great teams just kind of randomly no-show. It’s not just the Celtics. Every night no one gets hurt is a good night at this point.

This was 90% lack of effort. They must be exhausted, but the playoffs aren’t exactly a cakewalk.

Yes. Plus, again its kinda hard to beat any NBA team shooting 53% from deep on 36 shots

This game is legitimately funny to me.
I kind of agree but they have not played great this home stand.

Killed by the LAC
Played like shit against NO the first 3 quarters
Beat the pacers. Good win but their best player sat in 4th in a tight game
This shitshow tonight

I think weve gone over the foul call thing wrt the lakers in the port cellar and the tldr is they dont get a particularly better whistle than anyone else, they just shoot way fewer threes.

Really no way to fix it that will be palatable to owners, unfortunately.

And it’ll only get worse when Silver puts teams in Europe to fulfill Papa Stern’s dream.

Hauser shot well...so we have that going for us

Maybe the February schedule isn't so easy?

C's will be fine

BUT if this turns the Lakers season around I'll be PO'd

Another loss where I wish we still had Ime. He would be lighting a fire under these guys. I hate CJM so much.
Is there really evidence for that?

Same coach that watched them toss away 6 games to the Bucks and Heat and piss away a 2-1 Finals lead because they couldn’t string two passes together, and were burnt out from tossing away 6 games to the Bucks and Heat.

Ime had them playing balls to the wall every night from February to April. Which was great until they completely petered out in June. I am happy to see them prioritize health over trying to win every game. Sometimes that means phoning a few winter games in.

Not disagreeing too much but wish they would have phoned in this Sunday instead of tonight

Just looked at the box score, and realized I'd transposed scores when glancing into a bar as I was walking by.

The fuck?

What exactly are people worried about re: saving the Lakers season?

Would you rather LBJ force a trade to Miami or some shit?
