Collins can play himself into a top 10 pick position tonight. He is the only one who might be one and done

Gotta go down low and get Collins in foul trouble. If they can't do that and Jackson misses and no ORB, UNC is in serious trouble

C'mon NWG ... Run into that moving screen by UNC instead of running around it

UNC shot 31%, got outrebounded, arguably outplayed and is only down by three.

If I were a UNC fan I'd feel pretty good about the second half.

deep inside Guido territory
First half stats
Gonzaga
40% FG
5-9 from 3
8-12 FTs
24 rebounds
Perkins: 13 pts
NWG: 6 pts 3 rebounds 5 assists
Williams 6 pts 5 rebounds
Karnowski 0 pts 5 rebounds
Collins 4 pts 4 rebounds
Foul Trouble: Collins, Perkins, Karnowski, Williams all with 2 fouls

UNC
31%FG
2-13 from 3
6-10 FTs
23 rebounds(8 offensive)
Berry 9 pts 3 assists
Jackson 6 pts 3-10 FG 0-6 from 3
Meeks: 4 pts 5 rebounds only 2-4
Hicks 5 pts 4 rebounds 1-4
Foul Trouble: No starters with 2. Britt and Maye only ones with 2 fouls.

--Length really bothered Gonzaga bigs. Karnowski and Collins are having trouble finishing.
--Rhythm of both offenses are being stalled because both sets of guards are getting in the grills of the opposition. It comes down to late shot clock creating and not many players are hitting the open shots that are being created.
--Lots of open shots missed by both teams. That should change in 2nd half.
--Even rebounding battle hurts UNC as getting putbacks on offensive boards is a big part of their game.
--Foul trouble of Zags could really hurt them. All players with 2 fouls are key players.

I am and I don't. Gonzaga is great on D. The size and length prevents any inside scoring. They don't give Jackson much space to get comfortable shots off.

What can UNC really do? The rest of their players aren't very good on offense. The only way I see UNC winning this game is if they can get turnovers or score quickly off of defensive stops.

UNC isn't this bad as a shooting team though, are they?

Gonzaga is great on D, but UNC has missed some open shots.

I miss Allie Laforce too
Her throwing it back to the hosts is driving me crazy ... Twice now she has said "Thanks Jim" to Mark Few with no pause between Thanks and Jim ... So it sounds like she is thanking Mark Few by calling him Jim

It's the D. Jackson can really shoot, but he's not getting good looks. Zags making him rush to get shots off. Berry can shoot too, but after that its pretty poor. Pinson and Britt are not good shooters. Maye can shoot a little, but this isn't a good game for him.
