That was my first guess but it seems like people are able to just post their grid and not the rest of the screen, thus my confusion.
I cap and edit on the phone. Maybe a pain in the ass on computer. They could be pasting it a special way and I never looked into it because I assumed screen capping so I don’t know that a way doesn’t exist.

Yeah, on a phone I could see that being easier. I was trying to do it on my work computer and didn't want to include the other shit I have on my screen.

Use snipping tool on Windows. BLAH, 31 today. Did hit a new PB though with my Boston/Cubs at 0.004% though, on an individual square.

(Shift+Command+5 on Mac for the Mac equivalent)
Cmd-Shift-5 is more robust, but on Mac I find myself using Cmd-Shift-4. It brings up the crosshairs to start a snip without the other (useful) options.

Fun grid today! 208 rarity score, but my only 3 goals for this grid:

1. Fill it
2. Use players that make me happy.
3. Exclude Fat Billy

Screenshot 2023-07-10 at 5.09.58 PM.png

I failed on point 2. Fuck CC, I guess but Phil Neikro as a Cleveland Indian didn't occur to me.

Also: How the heck does One of the 25 have <1% rarity at 5 PM Boston time?

Definitely my best to date. Rarity score of 48. Was helped out by Roberto Hernandezwho I followed since we were in HS together. Also some nice low value Sox guys.

I'm more and more convinced that getting all the most popular picks in one grid is going to be impossible. As usual, when looked after finishing, there were a couple that I never would have guessed would have such high percentages.

8/9 rarity = 144

I tried to get too cute with Baltimore-Cincinnati by trying to pick Merv Rettenmundinstead of the obvious Frank Robinson but then I inadvertently moved my mouse as was clicking on his name and got a wrong answer, So I wasted one of my guesses, learned my lesson, and returned to enter Robinson.

I played myself by trying to be all cutesy with one of my picks. Figured it was an easy rarity pick for a category with a couple obvious answers.

How the hell did Tim Salmon never make an All Star team?! 41 career bWAR! 128 OPS+! Did he do all his damage in the second half or something?

Maybe my best rarity score of 114 even though I only got 8/9

Thought Jeff Mathis played for Tampa. Oh well. Surprising that Lynn was so low given every All Star season they play footage of him hitting the first grand slam in All Star history.

Edit: Oh, and if you ever want to check your work, BB Reference has you covered.

Correct. I wasn't aware of this selection tool you speak of.
Shift+WindowsKey+s on Windows will bring up the snipping tool (if you're into keyboard shortcuts), which makes it even more handy.
I use it a lot so I always pin it to my taskbar. Just type snip in the search bar and pin it.

BTW, I sucked today. I picked the all stars and bailed.

That was my reaction when it wouldn't accept Bob Feller 3000K with Indians. What do you mean Feller didn't make it - he started at 19!!

Part 2 today is out. 8/9 again. 137 rarity score.

How did Duke Snider not get 200 hits?? 199 twice and 198 once. So many possible answers and blew that one.

Easiest one yet. Only a rarity score of 180, though.

I used Jose Vizcaino and Ricky Ledee for two of the center column spaces. I've always got them and Darryl Strawberry in my back pocket for any of the NYC teams, current and former.

The new incorporation of B-Ref is too good. You can pull up a list of every player that qualifies for a square.

9/9 on the second one of the day, using pretty much only legends of the game, with one interesting fact:Jackie Robinson is the top answer for the top right spot, and was my answer, but he actually only hit for 200+ hits once. And just barely, with 203 hits.

Ted Williams never had 200 hits in a season

Glad to see the purchase by Baseball Reference - hope the original developer made out well :)

9/9 today - rarity score was 96, but figured it would be higher since I went for what I thought were safe guesses.

200 hits is a lot of hits; and you pretty much need to play every game and you can't walk at an elite rate.

Great pull on the lower left. Too bad you couldn't get Sam Horn in there too!
Thanks, I have no clue where it came from. I even took some time away to clear my head. Insert joke here. No cheating just to get my mind to slow down a bit. Insert second joke here.

PB of TWO on the early one, which I'll post with no spoilers since it's been replaced with the newer one, or the first one by BRef. There, I got a six. Not bad at all.

I would have to open private browsers 45,000 times and put in Jess' players for me to have a lower score then her. She's the Bobby Fischer of Immaculate Grid.
I will say I have heard the names of all the players. Except for Earle Combs and know Del Crandall more as a manager.

I almost beat Brand Name on the middle square of game 1 with John Halama's 0.04%, dang
I did beat her in one square and tied her in another. in the first game. In the second game, she stomped me.
