Seriously, if Cora chooses to manage only when he has the best players and the best team, I mean, I'm sure he's frustrated, wow.

They could have called up Jacques who has been pitching really well for Worcester. With a rested bullpen length wasn't really the biggest need today.
Yeah, with Bernardino on the covid list and Murphy heading out, why didn't they call up a lefty when having to face this lineup?

I guess they figured it wasn't necessary with Sale pitching & they wouldn't want to use either Jacques or Bear Claw in a high leverage spot so why not give you the guy who can give you length in case the game isn't close either way...

... this is bizarre, though.

So why Barraclough vs Jacques to call up?
I explained what I guess the logic was... but I'm thoroughly confused why they would use the emergency bulk guy in a game they have a 1-run lead in.

Especially when his getting the final out in the fifth meant he didn't have to pitch the sixth

If Cora knew his bullpen was cashed, he needed to give Sale more rope.

Assuming we miss the dance (which I assume we will), the turning point for me will be Pivetta's pants-shitting in the Friday LAD game.
