I think the Big 12 should figure out some rule changes to simply eliminate the defense from football. Obviously, they couldn't care less about it.

Uga figured something out on this OU offense.
Since OU’s D isnt gonna stop anything they better get the O back in gear or it’s game over.

And the Freshman gives Georgia the lead. The Dawgies are barking. This has Instant Classic written all over it if Mayfield can get hot again.

Anyone else think it’s ironic that the UGA band played “Battle Hymn of the Republic” after that touchdown?

I haven’t looked at the numbers. Maybe it’s just the extra plays — which of course contributes to the absurd game length, but CFB games have been long since forever. But anecdotally, it seems like good offenses simply aren’t stoppable.
Offense are definitely less stoppable than NFL, but I'm totally fine with it as a CFB fan. Even though the games are longer, the flow is better. Fewer penalties (*cough* except for Pac12 officials *cough*) is one thing, but NFL games are more likely to cut to commercial during injuries or replays, whereas college games will have the broadcasters talk some, with analysis or about some other games. Frankly the NFL is unwatchable for me outside of Patriots games, and even those I only watch the big games. It's too much stop/start.

One change I would consider to reduce game length is to have the clock keep running if the ballcarrier goes out of bounds, except in the last 5 minutes of the half. Before then stopping play is important but stopping the clock isn't that important. (edit: half not game)

I can’t believe this game is happening and that I am actually watching this. Insane.

You'd think defense would be helped by the fact that they can make contact legally all the way down the field, unlike the NFL which limits it to 5 yards.

Here
They went too fast after the first down at the 8. You have a minute, slow down. At least make OU call a timeout.

Even with no dog in the fight. Or maybe especially. No pressure.
One of the things I love the most about college football. I have no rooting interest at all. Went to PC, which has no football program, and of course, BC is a rival of PC, so I can't root for them. Every weekend, I just get to watch and enjoy the games. I find myself far more invested in particular players, than I am teams, as a result.

That said, I tend to always find myself rooting against the SEC. Not sure why.
