As to the Pats, its going to be a hard-sell to his audience who watched the game, to say the Pats were fortunate last night, so he may set them up as clear favorite going forward, knowing they got a tough schedule coming up. And I agree he'll kill the Colts D, and their toughness, the lack of a running game, but not Luck (who I thought played an ok-good game)

--Colts injuries played a big factor in the game.
But his favorite player LT was all class though, amirite? Mike is mad and just grasping at crap now.Stu Nahan said:Fatso just said someone should "take out" Gronk because he's a "jerk". Classy

I'm neutral and I love him. Fun is the right word. Doesn't hurt that he's great at the football too.Hendu for Kutch said:How bitter do you have to be to not enjoy watching Gronk play football? Really wish I had saved the video but in 2003 his statement about the Pats defense was that "Belichick would trade defenses with the Jets without giving it a second thought." He repeated this many times as if Belichick himself had told him this. Then the Pats won the Super Bowl and I remember him distinctly saying, "This idea that the Pats don't have any defensive players is utter nonsense."bankshot1 said:I was listening off/on today, and he said in response to a caller, he was now "intrigued" by the Pats defense. The hedge is now on.
Now, of course, he attributes those three Super Bowl victories to the defense, which was made up of players Belichick didn't pick. Mike is great at moving the goal posts.

Right on.
But I have to say one thing.....
Way back when Bill resigned as HC of the NYJ and joined Kraft; Mike while fuming at those events predicted that BB would be "the Bill Arnsparger of his generation".
Very shortly after the Pats won their first SB - this poster was a caller on the Mike and The Mad Dog Show and reminded Mike of his comment to which he replied, "I was wrong".
It's not often - but Fatcessa "will" offer a mea culpa at certain times.
ifmanis5 said:I remember the Arnsparger stuff well. He mentioned it pretty often for a while but then stopped. So, thank you!
On the Sunday nmorning show, he said that the Pats D is now its best since the 01-'04 SB teams.bankshot1 said:I was listening off/on today, and he said in response to a caller, he was now "intrigued" by the Pats defense. The hedge is now on.

With the Giants he managed just seven wins in his thirty-five games.

It might be a fun opening with him calling for a total house cleaning.
