This is better then even the Yankees losing.  The Heat fans down here are absolutely insufferable and I can't wait to listen to the local sports guys tomorrow.

I know this series far from over.  But think about how close the Heat are to not having any titles.

2012: Down 3-2 heading to Boston for an elimination game and then down 7 at half in game 7 and tied going into the 4th quarter
2013: Steal game 6 and a Duncan missed layup from having the game tied under 40 seconds in game 7
2014: Getting their teeth kicked in at home and staring a 3-1 deficit in the face

Love watching LBJ assert himself once the deficit got to 20.

It's amazing the free pass Teflon Wade is going to get tonight.  He was the worst player on the floor for a good chunk of the game.

Rondo and the Celtics beat him for the first one, refs bailed him out. Spurs should have won last year but somehow miraculously didn't.

if Lebron had decided to join Duncan, Parker and Popovich, he'd be winning his fourth title tonight and no one would criticize him for opting out and signing as a FA with anyone in the NBA. And he'd be beloved and part of a legit dynasty/one of the greatest teams of all times.

LBJ's legacy is in the toilet if they lose this series - as far as comparing him to MJ, Kobe, Kareem, Magic, Duncan and so on. It's redeemable in the future but he'll have a lot of work to do. Let's not forget MJ would've won 8 titles in a row if not for baseball.

and he prematurely retired the second time because he hated Krause and Reinsdorf.

He's been the only one to show up tonight from the Heat.  Bosh did a couple of things in the first quarter and has been invisible ever since.  He's got 28 through 3 quarters and leads the team in rebounding.  The rest of the Heat have shot 27%.  He is literally on an island tonight, has a good chance of going for 30 and 10 and he's going to get crucified tomorrow all while Wade skates by for dropping an absolute stink bomb of a game.  Doesn't make any sense.

I was pretty much wasted in 98-99 but I'll take your word for it. There should be no more comparisons. Let's wait for a couple more titles first.

Imagine if Lebron retired in the middle of his career and then "prematurely" again.  People would CRUSH him for "quitting".  He's not MJ and never will be but goodness this man gets crucified and mostly unfairly.

Edit - not saying MJ should get criticized for retiring either time.

Sure, but most of it was after the game got out of hand. It's amazing how easily people forget how MJ controlled a game and a series - also with much less talent on his roster.

this game has been absolutely great… Pop has made adjustments that I'm not sure Miami can adjust to before the series is over.

He was talking about Wade. Which is why he said "Teflon Wade."

What kind of dog shit production is this?  Nobody wants to watch the game from behind the basket.

how do you foul wade on a jump shot ever, he never shoots because he knows he sucks at it, he just pump fakes and then passes or gets fouled

Can you imagine coaching at Vandy or wherever it is that you're on the baseline?

LBJ has done the heavy lifting in taking the Heat to 4 straight championship matchups and won at least 2 titles. Wade has never been his peer throughout the run. If he had joined the Spurs, people would say he was riding Duncan and Parker's coat tails, etc. We can argue whether the Heat are a legit dynasty, but we can't argue that LBJ is one of the best players of all time. He hasn't put himself into that "best of all-time" conversation yet, but let's not forget how great this guy is, and has been with the Heat.

Going back and looking at the box scores of the Heat/Celtics series in 2012 is unbelievable.  The C's were literally 6 deep.  Amazing they could have taken down Miami that year.

I can't even remember who the 6th man was. Nate Robinson?

my earlier point, LeBron is a perfect Pop player. unselfish, smart and great. He plays with a prima donna in Wade who looks cooked to me, and Bosh, who is a role player now. had he gone to SA, he'd be four titles in and about to go be the undisputed on a new team. Any team.

there is no way a Magic, Russell or especially MJ-led player loses like this. and I think LeBron on pure talent is maybe the best player ever. Going to the Heat will prove to be a bad choice for a myriad of reasons when it comes down to his arguing his legacy

The Spurs have put on a clinic this entire series. How many open looks have Mills/Ginobili/Parker gotten because of superior passing and movement?  You look at way Ray/Cole/Chalmers have gotten and it doesn't even compare.

Manu looks much better this year. There must have been something physically wrong with him last year.

Other than his dumb decisions, yes. And so does Parker - much quicker and effective than last year's Finals.

Bench was Pietrus, Dooling, Hollins and Steimsma off the top of my head, so I guess Pietrus.

This unbelievable.  They are carving up the Heat like this is a summer league game in August.

Hollins and Steimsma. I had tried to forget that.
