The other 5% being Rush fans...The lesson, as always, is the most common way to ruin your life is to suck at romantic relationships, whether that's by being a terrible partner or choosing terrible partners. The second most common is addiction. Those two combined probably account for 95% of all ruined lives.
sonsofsamhinke is gonna riot.Atlanta and Philadelphia are discussing a deal centered on a Jeff Teague and Nerlens Noel package, league sources tell The Vertical.
Anytime a rebuilding team can trade a 22 year old under team control who's on path to be an elite defensive big in the modern NBA for a 28 year old with a year left on his deal who isn't a top 15 guy at his position, they have to do it.sonsofsamhinke is gonna riot.
I don't like it, but it's honestly not that bad of a deal. Noel is an RFA after next year and he regressed (even considering his position move) last year. There is no guarantee he improves significantly just because he's young.Anytime a rebuilding team can trade a 22 year old under team control who's on path to be an elite defensive big in the modern NBA for a 28 year old with a year left on his deal who isn't a top 15 guy at his position, they have to do it.
Who has more trade value, Noel or Okafor?I don't like it, but it's honestly not that bad of a deal. Noel is an RFA after next year and he regressed (even considering his position move) last year. There is no guarantee he improves significantly just because he's young.
Teague is a pretty good PG and if his 3pt% improvement is legit he's a much better player right now than Noel and may be better going forward. He's also what that team badly needs. If they think he'll accept an extension it's a pretty defensible move. Noel might be a better "asset" but if you have to move a big man, he makes sense as the one to go.
Probably depends on the team, I'd guess Okafor, but I also think they shopped him like crazy and couldn't get either a PG better than Teague or a pick that would guarantee them Dunn, so they are exploring deals with Noel looking for a PG.Who has more trade value, Noel or Okafor?
Maybe?couldn't Celts do significantly better without offering the 3? like say smart
Noel is only fetching Teague, and there are rumors of a #3 pick + being available for Okafor.Who has more trade value, Noel or Okafor?
To be fair, we have no idea about the validity of such an offer. Noel could certainly end up fetching more than Teague.Noel is only fetching Teague, and there are rumors of a #3 pick + being available for Okafor.
IMO, Okafor clearly has more trade value.

League rumblings: The Knicks are rumored to be interested in soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Evan Turner. The interest may be mutual.
I'm not worried. There should be others willing to pay Turner some of their excess cap money even if the Knicks option falls through. The supply of money far outweighs the demand of FA this summer. It's a perfect storm for guys like Turner, Austin Rivers, and other rotation players on the free market.Oh please be true!
According to Tim Kawakami, he is going to be the Warriors top target after Kevin Durant. I don't see him leaving the Mavs unless he and Mark Cuban mutually agree that Dallas needs to rebuild and Dirk is better off chasing a ring somewhere else.Per ESPN/Mark Stein: Dirk opting out and will be a FA as of July 1.
This is what I expect to happen. Dallas needs to take a step back to move a couple steps forward. It's similar in some ways to the Celtics and Pierce except that Dirk stuck around Dallas a couple years too long.According to Tim Kawakami, he is going to be the Warriors top target after Kevin Durant. I didn't see much of him during his rookie season, but I remember Zach Lowe implying that Exum was not really a point guard and also not very good (yet). They need a PG desperately.Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA 42s43 seconds ago
Three-way deal with Atlanta, Indiana and Utah, with George Hill going to the Jazz, league sources tell @TheVertical.
Why are the Jazz trading for a PG when they have Dante Exum and Trey Burke?
Because Exum had a terrible rookie year then blew out his knee, and Trey Burke can't play point.Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA 42s43 seconds ago

I agree, except for the "chasing a ring" part. Dirk has a ring. Maybe what he and Cuban agree on is that there's little reason for him his last couple of seasons in a rebuildAccording to Tim Kawakami, he is going to be the Warriors top target after Kevin Durant. If I had to make a guess it's because Hill is more of a combo guard than point guard, so he should be able to share the floor with all three of their other guards without missing a beat. The 12th pick seems like a heavy toll, though.Supposedly Atlanta is getting Utah's pick. Why wouldn't the Jazz bypass the Pacers all together and take Teague? Isn't he a much better player than Hill?
He's a different kind of player, but no I wouldn't say Teague is a better overall player. Hill is a better shooter, rebounder and defender, Teague is a better distributor. Overall I'd probably say Hill is slightly better, but they are pretty similar value players on the exact same contract. Makes some sense that Utah who might want to let Hayward, Exum, and Burke whichever 2 are on the floor with Hill run offense and that influenced the choice of Hill over Teague.Supposedly Atlanta is getting Utah's pick. Brilliant genuis Joe Lacob's master off season plan is get Kevin Durant or Dirk. That's why he is miles ahead of everybody else.
