I’m going to have to go to game there next season. Their gym looks awesome. (Embedded tweet of FD gym)

Another school in their league is LIU.

Those of you who know my thread on the soccer forum, of me starting to play footy as a novice -

http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?threads/be-gentle-with-me-its-my-first-time-a-53-year-old-footy-rookie.38483/

the basketball court that I played 6v6 soccer on this winter was the LIU home court.

This is not the B1G we’re talking about here.

So despite a few massive upsets is this the most chalk tourney we’ve had in a while?

Only one each of a 1,2, 4, 6 and 7 seed failed to make the second round. Only two 8 seeds lost.

So only 7 of 32 “upsets.”

If Duke wins today, they also have a massive scheduling advantage assuming FAU wins. Duke plays at 2:45 today in Orlando. That means they are flying home tonight. The regionals are on Thursday. I don’t know if they travel on Tuesday or Wednesday, but at a minimum they will have 3 nights back on campus.

Whereas FAU plays in Columbus tomorrow night. That game won’t end until 10pm. I assume they will be staying the night in Columbus and flying home Monday morning. So Duke will have two extra nights at home, and roughly 30 more hours of rest in between games.

I’ve got Duke v. Alabama in the Final Four, so I hope you’re right.
My final four is Duke, Alabama, UConn, and Houston, with Houston beating Alabama in the title game. BUT....Houston is looking really shaky with their injury issues. Duke is a wagon right now. UConn has as much talent as anyone in the country. Alabama is loaded. Houston, when healthy, is still probably the best team. If Houston's injury issues get settled, I am pretty happy with my final four picks right now.

I think the way the talent is spread out now (another way of saying the game is weaker, one-and-done and the transfer portal the main reasons), only wins by 14,15,16 can be considered shockers.

So much for my bracket(s). This is a fun tourney, though.

Refs are kind of out of control in this Auburn/Houston game. Super tight calls, second half feels like it's only been free throws.
