But he's so DYNAMIC... so it's ok...
In three seasons in the NFL, Mahomes has made it to the AFC Championship Game, won the super bowl, and then lost in the super bowl. He's never not been in the final 4 of the league. Ever.

I have no idea why this board takes it so personally when QBs get complimented for being awesome.

Nobody is saying Mahomes isn't awesome, just pointing out that his decision making was hilariously poor and that decision making has likely been influenced by glamourizing his previous success with extreme risk plays.

Mahomes might win the MVP this year but that doesn't make that INT less entertaining.

Whenever I watch the Bucs games (they're the only non-Pats games I watch), I'm always struck by how much bigger and stronger they look than the Pats (and the teams they're playing).

Can we just face the reality that NONE of the new QBs are special? They all might be good in time, but none of them are looking like they'll be putting up numbers like Burrow or even Daniel Jones did in their first year, never mind a Dan Marino. Fields looks like an extremely gifted guy who barely knows the first thing about setting protections. The Bears were right to start Dalton.

The Jets and Jags suck. Horrible situations for both.

Fields has only played today and he had about .03 seconds to pass on every play.

But, yes, they have looked really, really bad. But let's ease up on the Daniel Jones talk. He has like 6 career wins in 2+ seasons and he's turned it over more than anyone else in the NFL in that span.

WTF was that Dolphins player doing? Idiotic.

Of course, a personal foul at their own 6-inch line is a 3-inch penalty.

Jones trucked a d lineman today and ran in a TD. It was awesome.

Dlineman put his hands to his face mask in shock/disappointment

I'm not taking about him over his career, but Jones did have a good first season: in 12 starts, 3027 yards, 61.9% comp 24 TDs 12 INTs

They're probably on the way to 0-10:

The Giants next few games:

at Saints
at Cowboys
Rams
Panthers
at Chiefs
Raiders
BYE
at Bucs
Eagles

They could easily be 0-10 going into that Eagles game.
Then they can draft a franchise QB with the first pick!

Oh, wait...

My only takeaway on Fields' first start is that the Bears should fire Nagy tomorrow. He's a terrible coach and he did nothing to tailor an offense to Fields, it was the same offense they ran with Dalton. BAsically no option plays or designed QB runs. You have an elite rushing QB, and you don't use him at all.

They might be the Panthers at home. Seems like the sort of road game that could see Carolina slip up

If they don't the storyline in the NY media will be about how the Maras cheaped out and cost the franchise a good coach in Rhule.
The Maras are lucky they had Coughlin and Eli for two miracle SB wins. Because this team has been horrendous for the last 20 years, except for the SB wins.

I don’t think that’s true - the difference is Tom has a clean pocket and is stepping into them.

Fields is totally unprepared to play and Nagy just no clue - therefore, 1 net passing yard
Lol.

You don't? Are you choosing not to use your eyes?

I don't know about "a LOT", but Brady definitely throws with more zip than Mac, both when stepping into the pocket and in messy pockets. Brady's ball has more zip in short routes, and his deep/intermediate throws get there quite a bit faster because he puts less air under them because of a better arm. He's not Mahomes, but he's combined increased strength work and great mechanics to get a pretty strong ball at all levels. Mac will need to do the same.

While I agree with you about Brady having team advantages which make it easier to perform, it has to be true to some extent. Tom has a 20 year head start on professional football strength and conditioning. It wouldn’t be a knock on Mac to acknowledge that.
