I made reference to it in another thread, but Lache Seastrunk, former SOSH predraft Binky of many, has been released by the Redskins. Sort of a surprise considering he was a 6th round pick and flashed bigtime speed in the preseason. I wouldn't mind bringing him on.

Not good in pass pro, and it cost him. They also parted ways with very speedy Thompson, keeping only 4 RBs including Silas Redd. Focusing on performance throughout camp, and not worried about cutting recent draft picks.

They hope to get both on practice squad, but in Seastrunk's case it's very doubtful.

Seastrunk is a weird player - he's a smaller back at 5'9" 201, and Waldman rated him as having star-caliber agility ... but he's not a pass-catcher at all (literally zero catches his last year at Baylor). It would take a creative coach to find a role for a guy like that.

Notable cuts: (from SI.com)

- Issac Sopoaga has been cut by the Cardinals.
- Pat Angerer cut by the Falcons
- Brian Moorman cut by the Bills
- Nate Burleson can go get a pizza and crash his car at will, as he has been cut by the Browns
- (LT.) Eric Kettani cut by the Jags
- Brad Smelley has been told he stinks by the Rams
- Terrelle Pryor has been cut by the Seahawks
Sopoaga cut costs the Pats some cap space

I didn't see this upthread, but the Broncos cut Vickerson. He is 31 and coming off an injury, but I remember him causing some major problems last year for us.  Could he be the backup DT to Vince? We seem to be lacking one of those. And Vince is no spring chicken coming off Achilles surgery sadly.

** Caveat, I have watched approximately 0% of the Broncos pre-season. I have no idea if he is cooked. But he seemed like a salary cap cut more than a physical capability thing.

Asked Champ Bailey's agent Jack Reale if his client wants to continue playing: "Definitely and he is fully healthy now."

The Texans cut S Chris Clemons -- very surprising. I wonder if the Dolphins would consider bringing him back to help with Reshad's absence.
He seems like the kind of Safety BB likes. Hes conservative, doesnt give up big plays, and is smart. He could be a great fit opposite McCourty.
