Are either of them better than Marcus Smart?Thybulle and Zhaire Smith are basically both rookies, but they are two of the best defensive prospects at guard to come along over the past couple of years.
Thought about Thybulle, but he's big-ish...my concern with them is about quicker guards. Could be one of those guys is the answer, certainly some great college defense there but Thybulle was a 3 in college, not guarding point guards. The roster has amazing length---that may be sufficient, just thinking about what the deficiencies may beThybulle and Zhaire Smith are basically both rookies, but they are two of the best defensive prospects at guard to come along over the past couple of years.
They’ll never get a rebound or block, though.Cs will run this team off the court
That’s a really dumb question. Are either of them better than Marcus Smart?
I am sure it was; I didn't word it correctly. That’s a really dumb question.
Oh, sorry, I was really confused. I think some would say yes to Thybulle, but it depends on how much you want to discount his stats due to playing in the zone. I’d say no- if Smart plays four years like Thybulle, he’d have been putting up crazy numbers too (not the blocks like MT, but still). Plus, Marcus was a much better offensive prospect than either.I am sure it was; I didn't word it correctly.
I meant are either of them better than Smart was coming out of college.
Sorry for the poor wording.
Running off made dunks is very difficult, especially against teams with multiple elite defendersCs will run this team off the court
Yeah, I knew he was the better offensive prospect. Thanks for the comparison on the defensive side.Oh, sorry, I was really confused. I would assume essentially nothing just enough to satisfy the touch rulesDallas writer:
Confirming that Dragic will be a Maverick, but what Mavs giving up is unclear.
I legit thought he'd get the room exception max.Woj:
DeAndre Jordan has agreed to four-year, $40M deal with the Nets, Excel Sports agent Jeff Schwartz tells ESPN.
Do the Nets have an unlimited amount of money?Woj:

reuniting former roommates in Dragic and DoncicDallas is a Euro hotspot all of a sudden.
So does this mean a Kyrie S&T could happen?Woj:

they're going to do S&T deals so they never drop below the cap, this is a 4 year deal at the MLEDo the Nets have an unlimited amount of money?
Nope. Woj says Kyrie and KD are taking less money. So does this mean a Kyrie S&T could happen?
They had $68.6 million in cap space and are signing KD, Kyrie, and Jordan. So does this mean a Kyrie S&T could happen?
WOW!, I understand taking less so you can fit a 3rd max, but taking less so that your washed friend can make twice what he's worth to start over a better younger player?Nope. Woj says Kyrie and KD are taking less money.

Garrett Temple grabbed that already.I legit thought he'd get the room exception max.
It all hinges on Brown, Tatum and GH I think. I could see just about anything from a one seed if everything works out, to an 6-8 seed if nobody improves again. So Milwaukee and Philly both look like they’ll be better than Boston next season, with the Nets probably right around Boston’s level (and obviously better than that once KD returns, if he does so fully) and Toronto being a wild card depending on Kawhi.
Seems pretty clear at this point even with Kemba Celtics are looking at another 4-5 seed unless things go really bad at one of the aforementioned teams, no?
Or one of Tatum/Brown takes a huge leap forward or one of the rookies ends up being much better than expected. So Milwaukee and Philly both look like they’ll be better than Boston next season, with the Nets probably right around Boston’s level (and obviously better than that once KD returns, if he does so fully) and Toronto being a wild card depending on Kawhi.

Again.Would be funny if the Nets got stuck with 3 broken down overpaid old guys.
It costs us nothing. So what was the point of not just renouncing Rozier and signing Kemba outright now?
What are the cap implications with no corresponding Kyrie S&T?
They could retain Al's cap hold as well as Morris' rather than renounce them to sign Kemba. So what was the point of not just renouncing Rozier and signing Kemba outright now?
Seems like this has to mean KD and Kyrie told Nets they wanted Jordan as the third, doesn't it? If he's just a tax on signing them you do it. Even if you have to lie and tell them "no, really, we want all three of you" and wait until they realize Jordan is done you still do it just to get those two on the roster.Garrett Temple grabbed that already.
This has to be a sign and trade.
I'm stunned by this contract.
edit: wow KD and Kyrie took discounts, and Deandre was the target? OK. Dear Brooklyn, if you'd like to do a Kyrie sign and trade and include Jarrett Allen coming back, that would be great. Thanks.
Flexibility, costs nothing, and keeps us over the cap so if we can stay there we get the full MLE. Since Horford just signed in space it seems unlikely to make a difference, unless some team over the cap really wants to give a huge deal to Marcus Morris. So what was the point of not just renouncing Rozier and signing Kemba outright now?
What are the cap implications with no corresponding Kyrie S&T?
Yes. I meant Kyrie and KD took less and the guy they chose to do that for was Deandre. Not that Brooklyn made that choice.Seems like this has to mean KD and Kyrie told Nets they wanted Jordan as the third, doesn't it? If he's just a tax on signing them you do it. Even if you have to lie and tell them "no, really, we want all three of you" and wait until they realize Jordan is done you still do it just to get those two on the roster.
What is Miami doing, exactly? They now have 30 year old Butler (third team in a year), Winslow, and a bunch of flotsam (sorry, Hassan) right?

They really need to relocate from their football market to Raleigh. Would do so much better ticket-wise.Six

They will get run out of buildings.
I know right? Almost like the league is moving more to a modern business where employees actually get to pick where they work and choose if they want to move to another company to work with friends in a better situation for them. So much better to just take away their freedoms to choose so billionaires can dictate where they live and who they can play with.Sure seems to this outsider that the NBA is broken. Some players decide that some teams are just going to have to suck (and vice versa).
Baseball's better.
"for" bigsHuh?
Embiid and Horford are decent runners for bigs, the other 3 fly for their size. They have 37/37/36 3pt shooting from 2-4. They will be just fine. They'll score and defend.
It’s nothing like a modern business because modern business don’t have artificial salary caps and maximum contracts. Baseball, with no such (well, at least fewer) restrictions, is actually more like a modern business in that sense.I know right?
