It's easy to say that if the 49ers cut him he must be washed up but I actually wouldn't be stunned to see the Pats give a try out to Thomas. Belichick obviously really respects Sean Payton's shemes and players, and while Thomas is obviously not an explosive player now (if he ever was) he would probably come cheap and has decent hands, if memory serves.

Edit: still, White and Bolden are the most likely candidates to fill the role, and I'm not sure they'll bring anyone else in.

Thomas had 45 catches last season and 77 the year before that--he was over 1000 yards from scrimmage that season as well. Might be worth a look-see.

The ultimate drop the mic moment for BB and TB12 would be to sign Trent Richardson and have him actually be good.
Not only would that result in another league investigation, I'd probably understand the rationale for it. Richardson being good would be WAY harder to explain than a temperature/air pressure relationship...

Turbin had the big run to start Seattle's last drive of the first half in the super bowl. I think he has some talent. Didn't even realize he was available.
He got hurt, and out-played by Thomas Rawls in camp, where he was cut. He bounced to Cleveland, where he fell behind Crowell on the depth chart.

And love the avatar.
