SPDougie will get a good prospect. ElCab, who so worried about it pre-draft, will get a shot at the top prospects. Heck, even Ace & Gary are probably going to get a decent selection.

I love how you've made it your mission in life for the past several months to get everyone to draft backup QB's so people at the end of the draft get screwed.
you're a weird cat.

You have a weird sense of time (its been weeks) and proportion (it isn't people, its you). But that's OK, since weird cat is one the nicer things you ever said about me. The good news is that you'll probably yack up another hairball, no matter who's available.
That said, the fact that all the teams in the top ten, and several without even a dead body on their depth chart, passed on the QBs is worthy of comment. Despite those results not matching the NFL results or the general consensus that to win anything in any league, you have to have a QB. So, a bunch of those teams'll be picking in the top ten again next year regardless of how good their non-QB pick turns out.
In summation, it is only mostly about you, not entirely about you.

Ace, this is KFP's way of complementing us. He knows we built a damn good team and if we had a QB we'd be... set.
Think about it. Our defense is returning with 3 starters all coming into their second years. We could have the #1 D here and we have 3 good pass rushers and 4 if you include our SAM (Manny Lawson can rush the passer even if he isn't a stud).
Our RB's are a great tandem and our offensive line, aside from C, is very solid. So where are we weak? WR, TE, QB. If we have a QB even with some depth issues at WR/TE we're easily a top 5 team in the conference if not better. So take it as a complement. He doesn't want us to get a QB because he knows what that means. And I don't blame him for trying to encourage the other non-QB teams to draft one.

He'll take the year to learn and work on his mechanics and dream about all the toys he's got to play with.
Were you guys looking at QBs? I assumed you were going to pull a Jets and use your first on D every year.SMU_Sox said:That one stung a bit.

That's just a smokescreen. We all know who your favorite QB in the draft is based on your posts in BbtL.SMU_Sox said:
As of 11:06pm CST? Not sure. We'll probably see 1-3 more QBs off the board by the time we pick and I don't want to blow a 1st rounder on some shitty QB just because.

MMS, you have my favorite QB in this class. As much as it sucks to see him go I wish you the best of luck.

I was a little surprised no one took a QB in the top 10 (as opposed to the mock we did a few weeks ago in the "Wait, who?" forum, where all went in the top 7, I believe). None of them are sure things relative to the other options, but Danooo, Wiki, and RO literally don't have QBs and Was' QB is literally Brandon Weeden. Someone's going to end up running the Power T or something. At least ElCab has Christian Ponder.Super Nomario said:I'm interested in seeing what happens here if the QBs slip in the real-life draft. Three of the next four RFP squads don't have a QB on their rosters, and five of the next seven are at least unsettled at the position. Will one of the RFP teams pull the trigger on Teddy Bridgewater in the top 10 picks if he slips to the second round in real life?

Why dont you stop naming players who havent been picked, huh?bakahump said:The KCC (whom are strangely dissapointed that no one picks them as having QB issues) are a bit bummed at the current QB run. We expected one of the big 3 to potentially make it to their next pick. Now they are left with Garropollo, which no sane team would pick, Carr and AJ as potential options.
However after thinking about it each QB taken leaves really good players at other positions available.
Also while QB is THE MOST IMPORTANT position to fill....you shouldnt expect to be able to fill it with quality. IOW just because guys are there.....doesnt mean they are good. So the KCC will not Reach for a QB regardless of rumblings from the fan base. We will continue to pick the BPA and build our team in preparation for when we do get an opportunity for a Quality QB.

Why do people feel the need to skirt the edge of this rule? Is it so difficult? You getting some kind of righteous indignation because YOU decided to list players is bullshit.
Can you please stop trying to fucking rebel against the system and just not mention players who havent been drafted?
bakahump said:Can you show me this rule?
I too am not trying to be a dick. I may have actually missed it.
I do think its a stupid rule.
In real life no one "avoids" naming Manziel on ESPN CBS WSBK or whatever because a team hasnt picked him yet. Big name players are actually reported EVERYWHERE and IN YOUR FACE. "WHY HASNT XYZ been drafted yet!!!????".
Realistically....its truer to real life if "buzz" about players influence their draft stock.
If its a rule and I missed it....I apologize, but I would like to see the list of rules so I dont screw up again. The first page of this, the draft thread doesnt have it listed as a rule.
