Carrasco and Griez up front for Atleti. Full strength lineup for Barca, Masche and Sergio on yellows. Game time.
There you go! Just sit back and wait on the counter!Hoooo boy, Atelti goes ahead after a nice header by Griez. This game just shifted immensely.
Yeah, that definitely should've been a red.OH MY GOD THAT'S A RED
No.Even if the penalty were called Atletico would have advanced in away goals right?
No it would have forced extra time. Both teams would have 1 away goalEven if the penalty were called Atletico would have advanced in away goals right?
I think he's a consensus top 5 (10 at worst) player in the world and has been for some years now.And freaking Muller. I don't know if I've ever watched a player like him. He's such a predator in front of goal but isn't a striker per se. But just always pops up in the right place at the right time. I think he's one of the most underrated players in world football
I think that ranking is alright, maybe City is gaining some steam and above Real, which had lots of trouble with Wolfsburg.I'd rank the semifinalists:
1. Bayern
2. Atleti
3. Real
4. City
Unless you're willing to make Atletico the favorite you can certainly say the same thing about the other 3 remaining teamsBayern's defensive line is too vulnerable to be the favorite. Benfica played without Gaitan, Jonas, and Mitroglou in attack. The drop in quality from those players is pretty dramatic. By the end of the match, they had two players on the field who played on their B team last weekend. For the entire match, they never broke from playing a tight defensive shell. And yet, they scored two goals and got Javi Martinez in a position where he could have gotten a straight red.
I'd have no problem making Atletico the favorite. My only issue with them is the likelihood they get carded into an oblivion. Real gave Bayern a thumping just two years ago. Bayern's attack and midfield is world class, but their center back situation is a problem. I think it's in their best interests that UEFA likes the idea of matching them up vs City so TV gets the Pep vs City storyline. Both Spanish clubs will believe they can knock them off.Unless you're willing to make Atletico the favorite you can certainly say the same thing about the other 3 remaining teams
