Two wide open shots missed by umass there and Garino comes down and gets a layup to cut the lead to 5. Umass needs to hang into this lead by the half here. Letting them get within 2 or 3 will give them momentum heading into the second half.
Awful basketball the last minute. Lead cut in half. Davis fails to convert an easy floater after an O-board. Garino scores again in transition.

It bugs the hell outta me when players don't know what's going on in a game. Carter gets fouled on a shot and misses the first and everyone fights over the rebound as if it's a 1 and 1. Really that stuff irks me
GW ends the half on a 7-0 run. Horrific basketball by umass the last few minutes. What the hell happened to their free throw shooting lately? Early in the year they were a great FT shooting team, now they can't hit shit at the line.

An inspired start to the 2nd half. They're still clamping down on D (5 GW turnovers in just 4 minutes) and look a lot more disciplined on offense. Crisper, more rapid-fire passing, some well-timed drives by Chaz, and the 1-3-1 isn't nearly as effective now.

Fuck. GW calls time-out for damage control, and it's like a complete 180. UMass looking like deer in headlights on offense, Chaz forced into a shitty three, long rebound leads to a GW break and a slam. Suddenly up just 4.
Chaz on the coast-to-coast fast break is borderline unstoppable. Back up 8, and here they come again after a defensive board. Nice job by Kellogg getting them refocused. Let's see if it lasts.

They've done a great job on Larson all game, preventing him from driving the lane or getting easy stop & pop looks facing the basket. It backfired earlier when he dumped it back out for that three by Creek, but I love the approach.

Biggest win of the season given it was against a top 40 team on the road and coming off the brutal GM loss.
I can't get over how bad the FT shooting was, but they played well enough to win. Carter's 3pt shooting was probably the difference. Esho's offensive charges really hurt.
