Seriously. S. Korea / Japan was fine because I was a college student working at summer camp for the summer. Watching games between 1-5 am is going to suck as an adult.
That U23 match televised anywhere? Thanks TB as usual.
Looks like the U23s are on BeIN Sports at noon, which I think is a 60 minute tape delay. They've been doing that all tournament for some reason. I'll miss it, as I have a
big day today.

Edit: btw is there a reason Julian Green isnt on the main squad? Was making the WC simply to cap tie him ?
Outside of his wonderful goal against Belgium, Green hasn't done anything for club or country, so the U23s are a more appropriate place for him. I also think he's been psychologically mishandled over the past year. Like SFiC, I suspect Green was promised a WC spot in exchange for filing a one-time switch. Taking a player who had never played above the German regional leagues was irresponsible, but he ended up scoring that goal so it worked out better than expected. But then, fresh off the hype and his WC goal, Bayern pimped him out on their preseason summer US tour. Green seemed to let this get to his head, not realizing that he was involved with the first team more for PR purposes rather than on-the-field purposes (he wasn't as close to the first team as Bayern were letting on). Then he was loaned to a dysfunctional club (Hamburg) where he went through four managers, barely played, and reacted poorly to being sent down to their second team.
It was just a bad year. Green was immature and hasn't made the best decisions, but he wasn't placed in a good development environment by his club, and he was given too much too soon by the USMNT. He's young and can bounce back. He's going to need a little more time than some hoped, though.
