What's amazing about that Jefferson TD/catch is that the DB was definitely interfering before the ball got there. But Jefferson only needs one arm to catch. Should be a new 1st down at the 1 yard line for the pass interference.

I think DBs these days are taught to play 4th down as they normally would. Idea is that you practice catching the ball, not knocking it down; doing something different can backfire in unpredictable ways. You’d hope the defender in that spot would have enough awareness to know that only the breakup matters, but I don’t think it’s a selfish play.
