To me that was absolute malpractice not playing him and wasting an entire year on Cam Newton because Newtown played ball and kissed Bill’s ass. Literally wasted a whole season on a stiff when maybe Stidham could have showed something then you don’t need to use a first round pick on Mac Jones. To me that decision may have set the patriots back years.
Fully agree. I was calling for Jared all year. We knew waht we had in Newton, we didn't know what we had in Stid.

The Raiders are lucky Karlaftis didn’t don’t return that for a TD. That play had little chance of ending in points for LV - just pack it in for halftime.

Whenever the down-and-distance indicator in the bottom right corner of the screen is momentarily empty, I keep thinking that my TV has a battery that needs to be charged.

Stidham doesn't look very good here. I don't get the comment upthread that he is legit. All these yards are garbage time - things that nobody here would give Mac credit for. He's made some horrible throws. Should have just been picked.

I thought he made some great throws and was partially victimized by drops and poor footwork by his receivers. He can get out and run a little, too, which is nice. I like Mac more than most, but I reckon on pure QB talent right now it's a push.

Stid led a drive in the second quarter that had me wondering if Mac had ever led one as good.

Then the Raiders stalled at the 2 and turned the ball over on downs, and I figured OK, Mac could've done that.

So if the chiefs play the bills or bengals in the afc champ it will be at a neutral site? But any other afc team will be at arrowhead?

Kinda aggravating that Randy and Bruschi have to share a stage with this idiot (Rex ryan).

I mean ok. He was 22-36 (61.1%), 219 yds, 6.1 y/a, 1 td, 1 int, 76.0 rating, and the offense only had 13 points against a mediocre defense (#20 in points allowed). Mac has that day and people here are ripping him.

But whatever, no big deal.

Yeah but Stidham acts proper and refined. Not petulant and entitled like Mac. <sarcasm>

Just six days ago Stidham was 23-34 for 365 yards and 3 TDs plus 34 yards rushing on 7 attempts against the one of the best defenses in the NFL. Jonesy hasn't posted a day like that against an elite defense in a long while, if ever.

Give Stidham the Patriots coaching and receivers, and Mac the Raiders coaching and receivers ... then make the case that one is better than the other

This post is so bad. It suggests the Patriots have coaching. And receivers.

Here
Yeah, that wasn’t a good game for Stidham at all. 3 points in the first half and 2 horrible turnovers that turned into 10 points. But his fundamentals seem ok to the eye test.

Also, the first ball to Adams in the end zone was very badly underthrown.

McDaniels >>>>>>>>>>>> Patricia
Adams and Renfrow >>>>>>>>>>> Pats' WRs
And though I love Rhamondre and Harris, Jacobs is the NFL's leading rusher and is a stud.

The offensive talent LV has is much, much better than what the Pats have.

So you agree with me!

Just having some fun. As you have repeatedly pointed out, evaluating Mac is tough because the Pats are so bad in other areas that directly impact QB play.

But no more excuses for Mac Jones. He is not "the guy". Or so I have been informed in every thread related to the Patriots over and over again.

Really happy for the random local Jacksonville musician who got to play the national anthem on electric guitar on national TV. He did a great job!

Stidham stinks, he was terrible when he was here and was rightly cut. he has no bearing on Mac Jones

There have been some great uniform games lately…this is not one of them.

From Levy and Riddick to Buck and zAikman is such an improvement. And thankfully it looks like the much better game

thanks Chiefs for saving me time for this one

The CB needs to hold the edge on that 2nd down run and force the play back inside. I don’t expect him to bring down Henry, but he can’t get beat outside.
