This might be a record.

I mean, it's the Bears ... but it still counts as the NFL

Looked like a hold by the left tackle went uncalled. Like, a choke-hold.
Yeah, that’s a critical miss by the official. Can’t let the LT tackle the blind-side rusher.

Cowardly field goal.
I dunno. Taking a 10-point lead against a below-average team that hasn’t demonstrated that it can move the ball on you doesn’t feel like a bad move.

Yeah totally agree. Personally I always believe that you take points when it moves the needle in terms of number of scores needed to tie. So 7 to 10, 14 to 17, etc.

Also, the Bears were roundly criticized last week for not taking the field goal late in the Denver game last week

I wouldn’t worry about that this early. But I’m not convinced this game won’t ultimately be a rock fight — the TD drive felt pretty fluky (huge play on a broken coverage, blatant hold uncalled on the TD), and there hasn’t been much offense besides. 10 points is a sizable margin in an ugly game.

Not just "not taking it," but not doing so in spectacularly incompetent fashion.

"Spectacularly incompetent" is often redundant when discussing the Bears
Agree to disagree. I have always considered them rather mundanely incompetent...casually incompetent, if you will. That 4th down sequence last week was amazing.

Every casual in a PPR league is checking the waiver wire. I would argue that Moore is underrated by those types. Not most NFL fans.

Mac had Brown wide open...nope!
I don’t think Moore has the status in the league that he deserves despite the numbers he has put up in extremely suboptimal situations.

Its kind of brutal to go from the Panthers to the Bears. That said the guy was a very good a few seasons ago.

I bet he is sitting on a lot of fantasy benches tonight. Unrealized points!!!

Such an incredible trade by Poles. For the #1 pick, the Bears got:

DJ Moore
2023 1st
2023 2nd
2024 1st (currently #2 overall)
2025 2nd

And the Panthers got a rookie QB who’s really struggling because, shocker, he has nobody to throw to.

Man, if Fields puts it together, the Bears could make a killing trading both the first and the second pick in the draft to QB-needy teams.
