This is a very poor strategic decision.  All to gain 20-30 yards of field position.
 
You have one of the best OL in the league, a top running back, and you're at the opposition's 40 with a chance to get a stranglehold on the game. Go for it.

Yaz, I think there was a fair catch signal made by the guy who faked like he was catching it, but does anyone know if that makes it a dead ball if someone else catches it?  Obviously, if another guy touches it, it's not a dead ball because it could be a fumble, but it doesn't seem like anyone knows the rule about whether or not someone else can return it.

 
Going back to earlier, per Pereira on twitter there was no fair catch signal on this play, making the return legal.
