Playoff hockey is fucking awesome. Got home from skating myself and saw the last 10 mins of Chicago 2OT then saw Colorado tie it. I can't even find the sharks game on TV. This rules.
Yeah this is all I've been doing for the last 1.5 hours or so.  This is awesome.

Yep Steen ended it just in time for the other OT start. This rules.

Had a Chowder Cup tune up skate tonight. One more next week and I'll be ready to go.

MacKinnon had the puck behind the net on both the equalizer and game winner. His poise for an 18-year-old is ridiculous (not to mention his speed and physical talent). I feel like saying the kid is going to be a superstar is an understatement. I think he is going to be a Hall of Famer.

What a play by Barrie at the blue line.
Nice play at being the human wrecking ball taking out everyone in front of the goal too

*edit* not implying it was a penalty... Just a headsup net drive that opened up a LOT of options for the Avs

Two Wild defensemen got dumped in front of the net. No penalty, but shit luck.

nice double interference by #4 for Colorado - wiped out two Wild guys
Um Barrie drove the net and got buried by Matt Cooke without him looking. Not even remotely a penalty.

Cooke was just standing there.  I know this isn't a Matt Cooke friendly place but he did nothing.

Very nice.  Luckily we won our first playoff game and it's double elimination so our final game is likely next Tuesday.  Won't miss a beat.

Barrie just went in like a wreeeeeeeeecking ball (insert Strombone tweet here) and took out 2 guys in front there.  That was comical.

I didn't mean to imply it was a penalty but Cooke was looking at Barrie and Barrie was looking at the puck. If it was a penalty it's on Cooke but I thought it was no call.

In no universe was it a penalty on Barrie.

Definitely not a penalty on Barrie, but I don't think Cooke "buried him" at all. Cooke's head was tracked on the puck the entire time. Just two guys focused on going to the same place with the heads on the pucks colliding.

That's fair, poor choice of wording on my part with saying buried. I didn't mean to imply intent.

There was a pretty good replay from this angle that shows Cooke and his head staying focused on the puck. He didn't turn his ahead until well after he collided with Barrie.

Damn that's a ballsy (and stupid) play at the blue line.  He gets that poked and it's a breakaway the other way.

Yeah. It was Pominville on the puck, too. That's the kind of play where a coach says, "Nice play. Do that again and you're benched."

Perry gives Anaheim the lead and gets redemption for his dumb penalty earlier. Rocket of a shot. That's two unassisted goals for Anaheim's big boys.

Cogliano with a SHG to put Anaheim up 3-1. Cogliano had a great effort and Getzlaf set him up for a goal with a nice return pass. Anaheim had 2 guys in the offensive zone while Dallas had 5. Embarrassing defense.

Dallas got a powerplay with 3 minutes in the game while down a goal. They're absolutely pissing it away so far, too. With 27 seconds left on the PP and 1:27 left in the game, they're finally getting an offensive zone draw as they haven't been able to set up anything.

Anaheim holds on to win it. Man, the Ducks are a tough team. They're still a lot of wins away, but Getzlaf is the early Connie favorite through 2 games. He's been a beast and is quickly turning me into a bigger fan of his.

Things have gone bad in a hurry for the Blues.  Up 2-0 late in the 2nd they gave up one with 2 minutes left now 2 in 2 minutes in the 3rd and trail 3-2 with 13:00 left.
Lots of Chicago fans there including what looks like an entire section in one of the corners.
Ott and Bollig took 10 minute misconducts at the end of the 2nd but I didn't see for what.

And while I'm typing Miller made 2 nice saves against Hossa. Blues are reeling a bit.
But now they're going to get a PP

Blues are 0-5 on the PP with only 5 shots. 0-9 for the series. That's gonna hurt. Unless they're trying to go full Bruins on us.

Sobotka just took a knee to the knee and is hurting but skated off and stayed on the bench. Chance #6 for the Blues...

Oh shit Seabrook just went high on Backes and he looks all kinds of dazed on his feet. Just fell down again and woozy on his feet.
Shoulder to the head. No penalty called live but he's going to get a game at least for that one. And now they just took him off the ice so someone saw something and it looks like a 5 and a game.
Q has not yet grabbed his crotch.
