Butler with 16/10/10, Wade with 20/9/10. It's probably happened in recent history, but I'm guessing 2 teammates putting up a triple double in regulation doesn't happen very often.
The Rockets had eight (eight!!!) players in double digits for points. On the flip side, Thibs must be beside himself after this one. They were also 22-58 from deep. D'Antoni-ball>>>Thibodeau-ball.Rockets beat the Wolves 142 - 130 in regulation.
Are they in the most hapless position of any sports franchise right now?The Nets have lost 16 straight and are 1-27 in their last 28 games. 1-27. Wow.
3-0 actually, one without LeBron/Love, one without Kyrie/Love, and one where Taj Gibson (now gone) played the best game of his career. I wouldn't get too excited about the possibilities there. And CHI is 4-0 against them this year. Let's hope they meet in the first round.
Brogdan would be my pick right now after Embiid. Saric isn't really close to be honest.is Embiid a lock to win ROY if he plays less than 40 games? If it isn't him, is it Dario Saric? If he continues his recent play, it's a lock. If not, ROY is pretty much up for grabs if it's not Embiid.
If I'm not mistaken the 1 was an off balance buzzer beater 3 by Foye. The Nets have lost 16 straight and are 1-27 in their last 28 games. 1-27. Wow.
That was a terribly officiated game. At least seven techs, often for minimal contact! Ugh. But, the Thunder won, which is all good.Westbrook just annihilating NO in the fourth; 21 in the quarter alone. Fourth 40 point triple-double of the season for Westbrook.
Do we really need another okay small guard for 15 minutes a game? Do we really need another low 20s first round draft choice? Do we REALLY NEED another competent big man?pj tucker had 2 points and 1 rebound in 21 minutes today, can't believe the Cs didn't trade for him (Ibaka on the other hand looks really good though I'm happy the Cs didn't give up a 1st and rozier for 25 games of him)
In fairness to Zaza (and I hate this guy), Gortat basically tossed him right into Durant's knee. May have been some acting but hard to tell. Will be very interesting to see.In the opening minutes of the Warriors at Wizards game, Zaza Pachulia fell backwards and his gargantuan head hit Kevin Durant in the knee. Durant then limped to the locker room and is out for the game. At best it looks like a bad hyperextension.
Lowry is out in Toronto and while the Cavs have signed the corpse of Deron Williams and the picked-over carcass of Andrew Bogut but that still won't help get LeBron a ton of rest. There still exists a very decent possibility that the finals aren't the foregone conclusion we thought they were.
Certainly not identical players but I'd be perfectly happy if Jaylen followed Porter's trajectory starting with his 2nd season since his rookie year was basically a redshirt. So, what does Otto Porter get offered this offseason? One of the best 3nD players in the NBA - does he have the ability (handle) to expand his role if given a chance?
Max contract for him apparently is around $25.5.
I think GS is still a favorite even without Durant. After all, it's basically last year's team. All of a sudden it looks like Andrew Bogut might beat GS to a second ring:
Actually, no, GS gave up Harrison Barnes, Bogut, Speights, Ezeli, Barbosa, etc. when they signed KD. So, no, it's not last year's team. But, I agree that GS is still a favorite. For me, though, the NBA suddenly became more interesting.....I think GS is still a favorite even without Durant. After all, it's basically last year's team.
Yeah. Between Love, Lowry, and Durant things have gotten pretty interesting all of a sudden. Now it didn't happen on deadline day for Boston, but this is why upgrades, even on the fringes, aren't worthless. Sometimes the path to a chance at a title gets a little brighter. Shit happens.
Indeed. I wonder whether the Cs would have had this same trade deadline outcome had this happened a week earlier. Of course we will never know. However this sort of thing is exactly why you don't stop trying to get better. Now it didn't happen on deadline day for Boston, but this is why upgrades, even on the fringes, aren't worthless. Alternatively, they could have given up Brown and a Nets first for Cousins and Cousins could have torn his ACL the first game for Boston. You can't bank on injury luck, you build based on what is in front of you at the time. Had Durant torn his ACL last week, that's a different story of course. Something like the Millsap deal would have made more sense, however. Now it didn't happen on deadline day for Boston, but this is why upgrades, even on the fringes, aren't worthless. Barnes to Barnes is probably the only net loss here.Actually, no, GS gave up Harrison Barnes, Bogut, Speights, Ezeli, Barbosa, etc. when they signed KD. So, no, it's not last year's team. But, I agree that GS is still a favorite. For me, though, the NBA suddenly became more interesting.....

I actually like the Cavs better without Love. It allows more minutes for Korver who is lethal both as a shooter and as a decoy in this offense while having the ball in LeBron and Kyrie's hands more often. He's a much better fit for what they do in the playoffs imo.I like the cavs better than the warriors now as long as love is okay. Plus Jr is coming back and Deron Williams is going to be big for them off the bench. He takes the Delly role from last year, but he will be even better than him on the catch and shoot plays
