Don't think Daz gets the boot this year, even if your scenario plays out. He is still owed $7M after this year and it will cost them $2-2.5M to replace him plus another $1-1.5M in assistant coaches, depending on the length and buy out provisions for those coaches; a lot of dead money on the books for another rebuild job. And the rebuild will take 3 years or so. Nobody wants that. Money is running the show there as in most D1 programs. I think he is here thru the end of next year. Jarmond will look at the next 2 years and see where the program is headed now that it is 100% Addazio's. He needs to have winning seasons and I would suggest 16 wins, or thereabouts, collectively (including bowl wins) is what Jarmond may have in mind to keep him.If they don't beat Wake, this will be a losing season, no bowl and probably ends with Daz fired.
A lot to fix in a week.
A decision will have to be made on Daz one way or the other at the end of next season. He can't go out on the recruiting trail in 2019 with less than 3 years on his contract. It is not good for the program to have a perceived lame duck or "hot seat" coach at that point. He will either be let go then or extended. He gets to 16 wins, he gets the extension, anything less, he's out, IMHO.
