Wow that's close
Yup. Right elbow was down, but I don’t think you’d be able to say that for sure on grass. (The spray of turf pellets is what clinched it for me.)

Just kick a fg. Your team sucks, take the points.
The key thing about that run on 3erd down is it went to Gary Brightwell, who now has 5 carriers on the year for 10 yards. On the most important plays of the game, you definitely want to give it to a guy you never play.

Just curious. If BB should be on the hot seat for being mediocre the last few years (after the greatest run in NFL history), given his age as well, why isn't Pete Carroll in the same situation?

Last 3 seasons: 7-10, 9-8, 2-1 (18-19), 0-1 in the playoffs, and he's 72 (a half year older than BB).

Because Pete is beloved by most and BB is not.
Edit: Oh and the Hawks pretty much sucked before he came

I hadn’t paid attention to the disclosure about possible taint infections in the Jardiance ad before. Yuck.

If the Seahawks suck this year, I assume he will be.

Because SEA fans - by and large - aren't spoiled little whiners that can't remotely handle reality vis a vis how hard it is to assemble a winning team in the NFL?

I can't pick on Pete, and I understand I might be alone in this, but I think he got a raw deal in NE. The team had atrocious injury luck during his tenure.

I think Pete buys a lot of goodwill because he's not an asshole. Last year he also overperformed expectations by a considerable margin.

Seahawks made the playoffs last season. If they go 8-9 this season and start next season 1-3, Carroll’s seat will be getting warm — which BB’s is not, complaints on this site notwithstanding.

It could be worse for us Patriots fans. At least we don’t have Daniel Jones locked in at 4 years/$160 million.
That contract is reminiscent of the one Baltimore gave to Flacco in that it seemed like they were overpaying drastically because they had no other perceived options, although Flacco was coming off his best stretch of play in the Ravens SB run.

Yeah, I think that's right. Carroll has only had a year and a few games to deal with the departure of his franchise quarterback. The team was poor in Wilson's last year there, but when a guy accounts for that much of the cap and has won you a Super Bowl, what can you do. Pete is going to be judged by what he does in the post-Wilson era, and (1) it's still early days, and (2) as you note he made the playoffs in his first year without Wilson.
