Seemed to me like he was still making conscious movements after the contact and trying to keep his hands on the ball. It didn't look to me like the Steven Ridley scenario where he was out cold when the hit happened.Looks KO’d
Ref was behind him and thought he got the head. Sometimes calls get made because people watching plays in real time think they saw something that didn’t happen. Not an excuse, just the likely reason. What is even the argument here for this being roughing the passer?

My WAG is it’s his neck.Seemed to me like he was still making conscious movements after the contact and trying to keep his hands on the ball. It didn't look to me like the Steven Ridley scenario where he was out cold when the hit happened.
That hit was definitely forceful but it looked like no helmet to helmet contact and Harris kept his legs moving afterwards. His chest was also moving on the ground. Hope he's OK.I feel like the NFL has been a bit more brutal this year than the last few — feels like a bit of a return to what we were seeing in 2017, 2018. Maybe it is recency bias, but there have been some brutal plays.
Had to be that but his head hardly moves at all with the initial contact. You rarely see a roughing call blown quite so badly and if it happens usually there is a referee conference where somebody else steps in.Ref was behind him and thought he got the head. Yeah, I think the worst calls are probably where the official thinks he got a good look, but it was just an illusion. I suspect that a lot of time guys maybe know they might not have gotten the best look and so they conference. I think the ones that are the most difficult is where the ref is certain, but wrong.Had to be that but his head hardly moves at all with the initial contact. Most of these coaches endured multiple concussions as young adults. I’m not surprised at all how bad they all are with quick decision making. The clock ineptitude of NFL coaches who work 18 hour days on the most minute details always stuns me. Unless Tyrod audibled out of a pass play.
Taylor seemed to choose the run play thereThe clock ineptitude of NFL coaches who work 18 hour days on the most minute details always stuns me. Unless Tyrod audibled out of a pass play.
Taylor definitely did that on his own.The clock ineptitude of NFL coaches who work 18 hour days on the most minute details always stuns me. Unless Tyrod audibled out of a pass play.
In any case there was a stoppage due to penalty right beforehand, which gave the coaches ample time to tell him "Hey, we have 14 seconds and no timeouts, we NEED to pass here on out." Not that Tyrod shouldn't have known this on his own...Taylor definitely did that on his own.
He pointed to himself on the way off the field, and Daboll wouldnt have been so mad at him if that was the intended play call.
For sure, coaching staff should have been 1000% clear what was needed in that situation as well. They deserve blame also.In any case there was a stoppage due to penalty right beforehand, which gave the coaches ample time to tell him "Hey, we have 14 seconds and no timeouts, we NEED to pass here on out." In his 13th year. Checking to an interior run against a stacked box is indefensible for an experienced QB.For sure, coaching staff should have been 1000% clear what was needed in that situation as well. They deserve blame also.
Especially with a backup QB in there.
Prom night? This isn’t a real fight until there’s a dildo on the field.
Exactly. That is why you score the TD. A more than a FG lead is big.
I think I'd go down at the 1 foot line and make them burn one of the TOs. Score on the next play. Other than that, I'd have to agree you're better off with the touchdown.15-14 with 0 TO and about 1 min left
vs.
20-14 with 2 TO and 1:46 left
Can see why Phi let them score but it's not like the game was over if the Jets ran 3 plays and kicked a FG.
I agree for sure.In his 13th year. Checking to an interior run against a stacked box is indefensible for an experienced QB.
The bills have only moved the ball once and it took them 10 mins and like 18 plays. I think that’s gotta be the right choiceThat can’t be the correct decision to kick by the numbers.
No shit. And they were in the shotgun. Just stupid.3rd and inches how is that not a QB sneak
