I must have missed the OPI, looked like just a great catch. But maybe I was still in shock at the defensive strategy and overlooked it.

There was no OPI, it was a great play.
Saw it again on replay once my shock about the defense subsided. Not remotely close to OPI, regardless of the circumstances.Ed Hillel said:You can't stiff arm a defender before the ball gets there to keep him at a distance, which is exactly what happened.
It's the last play of the half, though, so that stuff never gets called. It was terrible defense regardless.

And I'm an optimist. But they have no depth at all and I think the defense is poor. The only thing going for it is that Army doesn't throw the ball.
But any team with even an average passing game will have a field day on this team.
Hope you're right Mike but as I recall Army put up almost 600 yards on BC and the last series was a 3 and out and crap punt. Also last year like all opponents they had no problems on third down efficiency. As for the Stanford game, the Cardinal was in NY for 2 days prior to the game. As one who does that cross country trek once a month by day 2 you adjust to the time change. Army is beating La Tech today in Dallas. May not mean much other than they are better perhaps than last year. As are the Eagles.BigMike said:
They were one first down on a turtle drive away from beating Army last year, and that was after what might have been the worst coached game in the history of the program.
Yeah, Army played Stanford tough at home at 9am Stanford time. If the game was at Army it might be close, but at BC, BC should win by 3TDs at least. Wake just beat Army by 2 TD's at Army and Wake is AWFUL
Great effort by BC. Shame the staff seemed to turtle in the second quarter and let the game get out of hand. Make no mistake, I think if the game were closer FSU wouldn't have stepped off the gas in the 4th quarter. Nice to see Willis getting more and more time, he does seem like a real potential playmaker.
That's what is the most important thing at this point. Practice time and building towards the future.Gittus said:Even a crappy bowl means an extra month of practice.
