That exact glove on the Internet does not have stripes on the nail side of the thumb. Seems like they added a new part to the glove specially for Brady.
Which glove was it? I looked as well after noticing the thumb but couldn't find a model that matched that pattern. The F5 was close but still different.

After TB12 leads the Pats to victory on Sunday, he should try on the alleged gloves at the postgame press conference and then wave them around when they're clearly much too small.

Okay, not really.

Edit: Damn, t4w snuck in just ahead of me.

DISCLAIMER: I don't personally know this person, and haven't gotten any news from him/the before. The below is purely gossip

I'm not making this up, and can provide the texts later (i'd like to cross out the names first) but according to the friend of a friend works for the Pats, says Brady started practice with something on his hand, then took it off and put a brace on under his glove, and couldn't throw with the thumb immobilized. That's all I was told.

Might be true, might not be, we'll find out on Sunday probably. Just figured I'd put it here, if people think it doesn't belong I'm happy to take it down.

In other news the line has crept from 8.5 to 8 in the past 45 minutes
Probably from that huge bet you laid before sharing this inside information on a public message board!

Lol I wish- the strange thing is the total bumped up a half point, so it could very well be a coincidence. There might be a group of there that really liked the Jags at +8.5 and over 46, and just banged the line. Who knows.

I’ve got far too much time on my hands for this drama. Remember when Tom was filmed on the street in New York in the walking boot before that game not to be mentioned? Beginning to feel like that.

https://nesn.com/2018/01/heres-hand-injury-tom-brady-likely-suffered-based-on-available-info/

Based on other reports, former Los Angeles Chargers team doctor David Chao, or @ProFootballDoc on Twitter, believes Brady suffered an “open finger dislocation.”

That means one of Brady’s finger bones pierced the skin “from the inside out,” according to Chao.

Ouch.

Where Brady suffered the injury will determine how much effect it has on his play. Chao said an open finger dislocation most commonly occurs on the pinky or ring finger, which would have a “minimal effect” on Brady’s play. If it happened to his thumb, that’s a different story.

The only way to settle this is to give Dr. Chao the opportunity to verify his claim tomorrow by having Brady fire a football into his face from 8 feet away.

My all-time game plan for this version of the Pats against most teams is almost exclusively run game, short passing game, and any pass 15 yards and beyond limited to play action. Any kind of hand injury pretty much demands such a game plan, so I'm pretty excited.

Wait—

PIERCED THE SKIN????
Before posting the article, I did not know it was Chao. The account seemed plausible. It plainly did not move the line. Something did.

That’s what I’m watching. Truth will out.

Can't idiots move the line with stupid bets based on stupid rumors? This isn't Ace Rothstein setting the lines because he knows how balls are bouncing off the backboard, this could be dumb money coming in because people think Brady's hurt when he's not.

Moving the Line
Wait—

PIERCED THE SKIN????
It's all in preparation for Truth's for retirement night. Boston is going to be for only Paul next month, didn't you know? No other athletes allowed.

Disappointed to read Kyed put his name to this piece though. Usually, love his work with its quality and depth, seems so out of his norm.

It plainly did not move [...]. Something did.

Don’t get me wrong—i’m with @DrewDawg in seeing this as a special case where I’m glad you posted it.

I just checked and it’s blowing up. So it may be bs, but the story is the story too!

This team is such a trip.

Except if they know the Pats are doing this (and teams aren't stupid), they'll flood the middle and force the Patriots to throw outside and deep and run to the edge.

I wonder if Giselle is sitting somewhere browsing the internet and wondering how she managed to marry the only man on the planet subjected to more ridiculous public physical scrutiny than she was.

I hope she gives him crap about being a hand model or whatever kinda trash super models talk.

Most "dumb people" aren't betting enough to move the lines (i.e <=$500). The places where the lines are moved are offshore sportsbooks that take 5-6 figures on NFL sides. They move there lines when clientele they've profiled as sharp bet on a specific side, and/or they receive a flood of money on a specific side. Like I said, the movement could very well be a person/persons who is good at this made a large wager on Jaguars +8.5/9 independent of the Brady injury i.e. correlation /=/ causation; the line move isn't something we can definitely pin on Brady's hand maybe being injured, but they could be related. In other words, time will tell.

It’s gonna be so effin’ sweet this Sunday when Brady reveals he’s not actually right handed.

Other players should fucking keep their distance from Tom in practice.
