Oreos were probably the only thing Giannis hadn't dunked on since coming into the league. This is completely disarming:

yeah, I see that as a positive, that's a young team in for a tough year, it's nice that his teammates wanted to get him the triple double. In many ways the opposite of stat padding.Ehh, it's kind of nice that his teammates cared more than he did. Up 15 with a minute to go why not?
In a contract year no less.Jonas Valacinunas is leading the NBA in three point percentage, having made 30 of his 58 attempts (51%) on the season. Last night he went 7-8 from downtown (he made all seven in a row, and all in the first half) as part of a 39-15 ass kicking of the Clippers.

Hmm... I thought as well (thought that was one of the main reasons Memphis made the highly questionable JV-for-Adams swap). But looking at the Pels salaries he seems to be under contract for the next two seasons after this one at a very modest $30.1M pricetag. In a contract year no less.
I always use spotrac.com and they break up extensions so I often miss players who signed extensions. Could be a steal. He's not going to continue shooting over 50%, but he's building up a sample size over his career. 128/332, .386 now.Hmm... Fake edit: Looks they quietly extended him in October. Great deal for them, and even more questionable for Memphis assuming they could have extended him for that amount. Adams is not chopped liver, but JV added to Ja, Bane, JJJ and co. would have been a nightmare to deal with.
Yeah, 51% is small sample theater, but (unlike Adams) he’s always had a great looking stroke from the FT stripe and from 15-20 feet, so stretching it out to a credible 3 ball is a pretty logical progression.I always use spotrac.com and they break up extensions so I often miss players who signed extensions. Weird spot for a Star Wars scroll.
Except that Booker is out for the game with a hammy — takes a lot of the drama out of it.This game is going to be good. Suns at 51.2% from the field , Dubs at 44.5% at half. This is not a '21-22 Boston Celtics game.
The Suns have contained SC30. If they can sustain that, they can win without Book. That "if", though, has plagued Warriors opponents for the better part of a decade.Except that Booker is out for the game with a hammy — takes a lot of the drama out of it.
Porter and Poole carrying the Ws; Steph needs to snap out of it...

He had a couple real good ones in a row about two weeks ago too. Kid is the real deal. Jaylen for Cade? I kid. I kid.Cade with arguably the best game of his young career. 10/13, 5/7, 1/2, 26 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 1 steal. He did have 6 TO though.
Definitely his best shooting night, if not his best game.
a 1st + John Wall >>>> Westbrook + (3) 2nds >>> Trez + Kuz + KCP + a 1stMontrezl comes off the bench to score 27 in Washington's win. What a heist that Westbrook deal was for the Wizards, who were overdue for some good fortune.
Springfield. I want to see my man in Springfield! Not sure I’ve seen a less appreciated star in this league perform so consistently year after year. These DeMar DeRozan highlights are sick; the footwork and skill to get his shot off is incredible.

4 AS appearances in 12 years says he'll have a hard time, although given that he might be having a career year his book certainly isn't written yet.Springfield. I want to see my man in Springfield! Not sure I’ve seen a less appreciated star in this league perform so consistently year after year.
Agreed. I can see him as one of those guys down the road who gets left out. I’m fighting for him though. A lot will depend on longevity for him as he’s never been a top-tier star and has always been a average/below-average defender.4 AS appearances in 12 years says he'll have a hard time, although given that he might be having a career year his book certainly isn't written yet.
He's at 18,300 career points so far this season and if he stays healthy should cross the 20,000 threshold next year. He could end up with 22,500 career points, maybe makes 1 or 2 more All-Star teams, plus he was 2x All-NBA. He will have a case that compares favorably to some guys who are in (Mitch Richmond being the bar).Agreed. I can see him as one of those guys down the road who gets left out. If you offer the Thunder back to Seattle, would they pass on it?Umm…OKC?
Memphis: 143
OKC: 67

Sure they’d take it back since they have SGA and a boatload of picks but I’m getting curious about what Presti’s plan is here. Having all those assets is nice but you need to build a team that guys actually want to go to.If you offer the Thunder back to Seattle, would they pass on it?
Would NBA FA's want to go to the City of OK, though, regardless?Sure they’d take it back since they have SGA and a boatload of picks but I’m getting curious about what Presti’s plan is here. Having all those assets is nice but you need to build a team that guys actually want to go to.
I didnt realize how basketball "old" he is (32). Can he play another 3 years to rack up some more counting stats?Agreed. I can see him as one of those guys down the road who gets left out.
