Unless it bounces into the bullpen ... then it's an automatic tripleSo you can record an out on a dropped pop up when another player catches it on the bounce; good to know.

So you can review whether a player is out on the basepaths, but you can't review a catch/non catch? I thought you could.Unless it bounces into the bullpen ... then it's an automatic triple
You're not aloneDid anyone catch why it was not reviewable? I missed that part of the play.
I'm still a bit confused as to why you can't challenge/review that.
I'm sure that's correct, but even that doesn't seem to make much sense. It has to be that it wasn't reviewable because it was a foul ball right? Because obviously we've seen catch/no catch reviewed all the time on regular outs, but I don't remember ever seeing one on a foul ball.
That’s logical.Found this, I guess this is why:
- Catch plays in the outfield: An umpire's decision whether a fielder caught a fly ball or a line drive in flight in the outfield before it hit the ground is reviewable, but fly balls or line drives fielded by a defensive player in the infield is not eligible for review.
I believe that's called a ground-rule out.So you can record an out on a dropped pop up when another player catches it on the bounce; good to know.
Thanks for that.Found this, I guess this is why:

A guy who mashes and hits balls 400 plus feet; why would the Jays trade him, he sounds tailor made for their line up.Who had Rowdy Tellez as one of the biggest in-season acquisitions of the year?
I beg to differ. Orsillo drives me crazy. He has two speeds … normal play by play and “that was the most exciting, stupendous marvellous thing that has ever happened in the entire history of the universe.! “This pbp guy calls a nice game, whomever he is.
Cool. Different strokes for different folks. I love him and miss himI beg to differ. Orsillo drives me crazy. He has two speeds … normal play by play and “that was the most exciting, stupendous marvellous thing that has ever happened in the entire history of the universe.! “
It’s like he’s still smarting from the criticism he got for understating Nomo’s no hitter. Excitement?I’ll show you excitement!
When he’s in plan B mode he has nowhere to go as he’s already at 11.
I agree with you. Orsillo isn’t that special and it’s kind of annoying how people treat him like the high school flame that got away and you can’t get over it.I beg to differ. Orsillo drives me crazy. He has two speeds … normal play by play and “that was the most exciting, stupendous marvellous thing that has ever happened in the entire history of the universe.! “

This post-season I've thought he has often adopted the Tom Caron Stentorian Method. Don't like.I beg to differ. Orsillo drives me crazy. It would rock more if they weren't averaging more than 30 minutes per inning. This game kinda rocks
Agreed. Much more interesting than last night's Dodgers-Giants snoozefest, which literally put me to sleep. This game kinda rocks
Half a chance that, if he did, he wouldn't have been able to get back up time to tag firstGotta grab that one, Rowdy.
I can't imagine Raffy would have been able to glove that.Crazy hop.
I hate that fucking chant. Whoever runs the graphics and sound blast that shit through the stadium all the time along with the drums.Everytime the Braves advance to the post season I root against them for one big reason. That stupid droning chant their miserable fans use constantly. The sooner I stop hearing it the better.
The Trail of Tears begins here!Braves fans are just showing their support for the new Indigenous Peoples' Day proclamation.
Part of my issue with Orsillo is that I really don’t like the sound of his voice. It sounds fake and put on .. a very radio announcer voice. I generally don’t get all worked up about what PBP guys say or don’t say. It’s HOW they say it .. their tone and volume rising or lowering with the ebbs and flows of the game. You notice it more with hockey announcers as they have to talk non stop. O’Brien is good at that .. what he actually says is not too important to me.Replacing Orsillo with Dave O'Brien: Energy Vampire was the real problem.
Gotta grab that one, Rowdy.
