Every time I watch the Sixers I come away thinking Maxey is their 2nd most dangerous player.

Glad we have White now to stop those quick guards that tortured us in the past

He's got more potential as a scorer than Harden, but is worse in every other way (even defense). He's also averaging 10/3/2 with a TS% of .402 in 4 games against Boston this year, basically invisible.

I still have no idea how the Nets pulled off that ridiculous comeback against us after the trade. They look like trash.

Maybe if Embiid didn’t flop every other trip up and down the court, he wouldn’t find himself getting hurt like that.

Instead of The Process, Embiid should be called The Polyurethane, since he’s always on the floor.

It’s funny Hinkie hasn’t gotten another gig—-you look at what they did and the upside and it’s a whole lot better than about 20 franchises in the same timeframe.

I have to keep reminding myself that I don’t have any reason to be irritated by the Nets anymore.

(There aren’t any, are there? Or am I missing something that I might have forgotten about when eclipsed by Kyrie and KD?)

I am rooting for a knock-down, drag out seven game series here.

I’m not going to get it, but that’s what I am rooting for

Nets plan seems more or less to be “push around Joel whenever we can”

Not a bad plan for them, given their roster and options

Somewhere
We have seen it before plenty of times. The NBA on TNT had Shaq saying he would do what Draymond did and, more to the point, found a clip of Barkley stepping on a fallen opponent with what looked like intent from back in the day.
Barkley was a shithead in his playing days and fairly well recognized as a dirty player. But there was a lot more dirty play back then, too.

I think a lot of the wagon circling is because Dray is friends with these guys and seems engaging/personable off the court.

Me too. But I figure that means rooting for the Nets. And then I remembered that they… divested.

I will say this: I think Ben Simmons has been more valuable to Nets in this series than Trae Young has to the Hawks in theirs.

Barkley is not a role model. :p

Am I mistaken, or are we watching a quiet, steady shifting towards saying that Greene “stepped on” Sabonis? Because that’s really not how I would describe it.

SSS and all but this is great. Bring on the sad sack Sixers in the next round. Sending them home with their tail between their legs in yet another 2nd round exit will be fucking delicious.

He said if Green was Ejected Embiid should have been as well (though he wouldn’t quite say it that way)

He’s right about that.

But yeah—-he also thinks Green shouldn’t have been ejected

Right, he said that if they are going to call it by the letter or the law, it should be called by the letter. And he thinks both flagrants were bullshit, that’s just his way of making the point.

Possibly also implying there was something about how Draymond has bern treated that is somehow unjust.

Barkley voting flagrant 2 for Embiid was pretty interesting.

There’s a big difference between kicking up at someone while lying flat on your back and stomping down with force on their chest while standing on top of them. I can’t believe how many people disagree with this.

I mean, what is to argue about there James? You hit the guy in the balls, on purpose.

What is it with Sixers and balls tonight?

But his logic on both is stupid. Sabonis shouldn't have grabbed Draymond's leg and Claxton shouldn't have...stepped over Embiid? They both asked for it. It's just Shaq playing tough guy again.

There is no world in which that is a flagrant 2 and the Embiid one is not. The Embiid one was much worse!

I don’t really see the case for that one being “excessive” frankly. Though hard to feel bad for Harden or Sixers
