Difference between Devers and Casas is that Devers has played 800 games at third and he's not getting better. Casas has played less than a season in the majors and so there's hope that he can work on things in the off season and potentially get better. He might never, but he is a rookie.
Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day if there are X amount of complaints about the 1B not bailing out his teammates throw after throw all season, it’s a thrower problem first.

We are damn far removed from the days of guys like Lowell and Pedey hitting the 1B in the letters with every throw.

Ugh terrible positioning by McGuire there, no way to get momentum up the third base line.

I recently watched a replay of Varitek blocking Eric Byrnes at the plate and it made me seriously sad about the new catching rules.

i mean, of course I don’t want to see another Buster Posey KO, but… yeah.

I still can’t believe I just saw that by McGuire. First off, don’t wait for the runner, lunge at him to tag him 2 feet in front of the plate. Second, if you are going to sit by the plate, then tag the body part that’s attempting to touch the plate. What the actual hell.

He couldn't lunge cause he was planted on his left knee instead of in any other position that would allow quick movement toward the runner.

Will the Sox put Duvall on waivers so he can sign on with a contender?
