Brady's appeal continues and has nothing to do with what we just heard.

Thats my exact read too, it makes too much sense for all parties involved based on the information we have. Never know with ROG, but I think there's a good chance that suspension goes away. Kraft's lawyers probably told him he has little recourse, ROG's lawyers probably told him that Brady's suspension has little chance of getting upheld, both want the whole thing to go away, so here we are.nattysez said:This tells me Roger is going to let Brady skate. Otherwise this is an irresponsible decision by Kraft.

Two explanations.
One is that RG or other owners threatened Kraft (or promised that there would be repercussions) for pursuing it.
Second is that Kraft realizes that this is a distraction that is bad for all concerned and that he can't realistically expect to win, and thus probably regrets the initial response and the website.
I don't think there's much logic to the set of actions together otherwise.
Yes, Godell said "hey, we spent a lot of money to put together a rather unconvincing report, but because I just happen to meet you at a birthday party let me tell you the real evidence that we decided we didn't want to tell people."H78 said:He knows something we don't. I wonder if Roger revealed to him some bit of evidence that didn't get released to the public.
Not all of us; some of us.Clearly we have all overestimated the influence he has over the other owners of the league.
