That’s actually closer than I expected.

I think that could stand given the review standard, but I think they’ll conclude it was clear he didn’t have enough time to make a move.

You have to also “make a football move” he didn’t.
I hope they don’t overturn but I’m pretty sure they will.
I think the "football move" test is gone, but the way they interpret completing the catch is pretty similar

I think that is going to go as incomplete, but great job by the refs letting it play out. There have been too many early whistles on these plays so far this season.

Sheard said "Man, I played for BB, you ain't getting the edge on me no matter what razzle dazzle you run"

I’m as sick as anyone with the slobbering over Mahomes but damn he is really good.

Which I take to be a dumb way of saying “a football move” but it’s the NFL so I can’t be sure.
I think they changed it away from that, and then changed it back to something people would make fun of less.

‘COMPLETED OR INTERCEPTED PASS

A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds:

a. secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and

b. touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and

c. after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.

so, yeah.

California. Duh.
It shouldn't be possible to get that much on a pass with that arm slot with your body going away from where you are throwing.

Brett Favre's arm and ability to create a play from nothing, except much faster and doesn't throw into triple coverage.

Holds or not, Mahomes s the most incredibly talented player I’ve ever seen. Who knows what his career will hold when all is said and done, but I’ve never seen a more talented player.

At just the QB position? It's hard to compare across eras and other positions...but Barry Sanders did some things I've never seen anyone else do.

Sanders may be the most electric runner I’ve ever seen, but Mahomes is a great runner and the way he throws the ball is just insane. Just my two cents.
