Lakers trade Thomas Bryant to Denver for 3-point shooter Davon Reed. They have to be looking to rid themselves of Schroder or Beverly next, right?
That seems a good pickup for the Nuggs, they need some depth behind Jokic.Lakers trade Thomas Bryant to Denver for 3-point shooter Davon Reed. They have to be looking to rid themselves of Schroder or Beverly next, right?
Toronto was hypothesized as one of the few teams who could afford to pay Poeltl what he would want / get in free agency, and as such it makes for them to acquire him now and kick the tires before making that offer. They also drafted him and he played there his first 2 years in the league, so they have plenty of familiarity. I would be very surprised if he doesn't re-sign there.Have we discussed the Poeltl deal? What is up with Toronto? They trying to compete this year or do they just like Poeltl?
Yup, and he's only been a good 3 point shooter once in the last 5 years. His 3p% since leaving the Celtics: .323, .331, .343, .389, .348.Hard to know if Crowder is any good still since he hasn't played all year. Is he really better than Matthews or Allen? Not sure he moves the needle much.

Looking forward to watching Thybulle drop Portland's OPP PPG by a whole point and also drop their PPG by a whole point.
You forgot to tell him you were going to post here and thus needed some deadline action. It's a rare occurrence, so he wasn't ready for it.Did Brad take the day off?
It's not even 1:00 yet and he's already made a trade, so no, I don't think he took the day off.Did Brad take the day off?
A buddy of mine lost his shit last year that we didn't bring in Drummond at the deadline. And when we were losing in game 6 of the finals, all I could think about was "what we need is someone who can't cover anyone under 260 pounds."It's not even 1:00 yet and he's already made a trade, so no, I don't think he took the day off.
Thanks for this. I'm a little weary of the Crowder mythology.Hard to know if Crowder is any good still since he hasn't played all year. Is he really better than Matthews or Allen? Not sure he moves the needle much.
Not a great ROI for a #2 overall pick, generally speaking, but under the current circumstances, actually a good move. And that draft was kind of a mess at the top. Good for the rest of the league that they fumbled it.
Wiseman and Bagley will be BFF’s
The Marvin Bagley comps are becoming a little too eerily spot on.Not a great ROI for a #2 overall pick, generally speaking, but under the current circumstances, actually a good move. And that draft was kind of a mess at the top. Good for the rest of the league that they fumbled it.
That was a typo. I meant Bey is a good fit for the Warriors. Not a great ROI for a #2 overall pick, generally speaking, but under the current circumstances, actually a good move. And that draft was kind of a mess at the top. Good for the rest of the league that they fumbled it.
How did Milwaukee "match" Crowder's salary? As far as I can tell only Jordan Nwora (2.9M) going out for Jae (10.2M)? Any cap wizards able to explain this?Haha yeah 5 picks seems mad

It annoys me that Danny chose possible future performance over present by leaving Bey on the board for Nesmith. One more rotation player last year and they might have had enough left in the tank to win. Too bad Boston couldn't have found a way to get him from Detroit. Why the Pistons would want Wiseman enough to send out Bey is a mystery.

It kills me that Halliburton went at 12 and we couldn't jump up to get him. He would have been a force with the Jays.It annoys me that Danny chose possible future performance over present by leaving Bey on the board for Nesmith. You realize the Celtics made a trade right?Did Brad take the day off?
Sorry, I had the wrong info in my 1st attempt, this should be right:
Apparently the Nuggets gave up 3 2nds to do it.Lakers trade Thomas Bryant to Denver for 3-point shooter Davon Reed. They have to be looking to rid themselves of Schroder or Beverly next, right?
Trying to figure out what the hell ATL sends to GSW in this trade.
Five 2nd round picks per Woj.Trying to figure out what the hell ATL sends to GSW in this trade.
Supposedly 5 second round picks. Saw something that indicates GS saves 131 million over the next 18 monthsTrying to figure out what the hell ATL sends to GSW in this trade.
I thought that but he makes 23.5. Wiseman 9.6. and Bey only 3Collins to GS?
I think Hyland’s upside makes his return greater. This doesn’t bode well for Pritchard today. Poor kid.IF you're wondering what the market for Pritchard was, Hyland's deal is probably informative
About right? Wonder if the locker room stuff dampened Hyland's market a bit.IF you're wondering what the market for Pritchard was, Hyland's deal is probably informative
I think it evens out, I think teams have adjusted his ceiling down, and being a PITA in the lockerroom and not making any effort on D when fighting for a role off the bench for the 1 seed sours it some. I think teams see him and PP as guys who if you're lucky are bench scorers, Hyland is younger, but Pritchard is arguably better and he tries.I think Hyland’s upside makes his return greater. This doesn’t bode well for Pritchard today. Poor kid.
