Missed EPStaley gets away with it.
Tie neatly off the table.
Yeah that didn’t look good after the second down play, then that duck.Carr threw that ball like his knee is hurt
What’s great is that they keep us guessing about how they will do it.So much for the Chargers no longer doing Chargers things
I guess, if you consider gifting the opposing team 3 points for no real reason “getting away with it.”Staley gets away with it.
Tie nearly off the table.
Or a touchdown with a 2pt conversion and two touchdowns with xp’sOr two FGs
Too complicated ... three safeties will do itOr a touchdown with a 2pt conversion and two touchdowns with xp’s
I don't think the Patriots are likely to win the SuperBowl, but if they were it would be because they got to match up their strengths (pass D, running, passing vs. zone) against an offense that wants to pass, and avoid their weaknesses (run D, throwing the ball vs. man).Patriots ain’t winning the Super Bowl.
Taking out the Bills wouldn’t be quite as satisfying as the Red Sox taking out the Yankees this year but same principle.
I guess getting a more winnable game increases the odds of getting Mac a little bit more experience. But there is more potential upside in playing the Bills for a team that is not going to win 4 in a row any way.
View: https://twitter.com/patriotshaven/status/1480379930798002182?s=10I think the Patriots in neutral weather have little chance of stopping BUF's running game, or passing well on them.
1930’s offensive game plan, part deaux.
YepAre there any analytics that support going for it there?
Just a little short
Unbelievably dumb call there. I mean, wow.
I don’t wanna hear about fucking fourth and 2 anymore
Holy shit.
Idiots
What.
the.
fuck.
Lol k
Oh man. What the shit.
They deserve to lose for that.
Can never say they didn't go for it
Staley lol
LOFL
Brandon Staley is the dumbest coach in the league
So much for the Chargers no longer doing Chargers things
I'm so glad to have seen that live. What a ridiculous ridiculous move.
I think we have our answer about whether it was Rivers.
That 4th down call is one of the dumbest I have ever seen.
That's after seeing the Giants 3rd and 9 QB sneak earlier today.
the 4th down bot/ analytics were in favor of itIf you’re going to go for it in that situation, at least call a trick play or something…
Also, personally I am sick to death of Bills Mafia. I’d prefer to play anyone else, just to avoid another week of listening to those clowns.I don't think the Patriots are likely to win the SuperBowl, but if they were it would be because they got to match up their strengths (pass D, running, passing vs. zone) against an offense that wants to pass, and avoid their weaknesses (run D, throwing the ball vs. man).
I think the Patriots in neutral weather have little chance of stopping BUF's running game, or passing well on them.
I feel much better about the Patriots D against the very pass heavy Bengals.
If the other games go chalk, you get a TEN team you already beat and with a win you're into a game with the Bills or Chiefs for a SB trip. If there are upsets you likely play the Chiefs a week earlier, but with the potential of a team you already beat (LAC or TEN) in the Title game, and KC is a pass heavy team that has been up and down.
Chargers may officially have the 3rd best offenses, but their OL has been brutal today.
FO ranks them 21st in power running success rate.Chargers may officially have the 3rd best offenses, but their OL has been brutal today.
This is where I am tooI love advanced analytics in baseball. Really like them in football, too.
Any analytics that says you should go for it on your own 18 sucks. Back it up with as much data as you want. A first down at your own 18 with 80 yards to go is not worth risking handing the ball to the other team at the 18. Full stop.
This isn't fucking Madden.
No excuse for this Chargers team to miss the playoffs. The Chargers are clearly the more talented team, this is ridiculous
Cant get off the field on d right now. 7 minute drive. Feels like a TD and this is over. The Chargers are clearly the more talented team, this is ridiculous
Agreed. It's risk-reward. If you're in the part of the field where failure leads to easy points at that point in a must-win game? Reassess the analytics. This is where I am too
And on the other hand as well, it’s Justin Herbert. So it's looking like we are inching closer to Buffalo at 8:15 on Saturday. On one hand, there's lots of football left. On the other, it's the Chargers.
But on the other, it's Brandon Staley as well. And on the other hand as well, it’s Justin Herbert.
Funny part is that in the messed up AFC they might actually end up in the Super Bowl. Winning four on the trot to get into the playoffs in the last regular season game of the year? Sometimes it is about who is hot when.Meanwhile ... is the Raiders interim coach (whatever his name is) earning himself the gig for next year?
It’s been a heck of a coaching job, stabilizing things after the Gruden debacle. They win this, he’d have to at least get strong consideration. Unless they’re just hell bent for Harbaugh.Meanwhile ... is the Raiders interim coach (whatever his name is) earning himself the gig for next year?
